Chapter 33

"NOOOO"! Ashley screamed.

"Ashley chill out" Darrell said shaking her while wiping the sweat and tears from her face.

She opened her eyes and hugged Darrell, crying uncontrollably. "It was so real" she repeated three times before letting Darrell go.

"What was real....what happened"? He said looking so concerned.

"Tasha....her baby... me" she cried.
"I have to call Tasha, where's my phone"? She said feeling around the bed.

Darrell handed her the phone and sat there while she called Tasha. He sighed in relief when he heard that Tasha was okay. 5 minutes later she hung up.

"So is everything alright....are you alright" he said wiping her face.

"Yes I'm fine now. Thank you so much for being here for me through my messy life" she said hanging her head.

"We all have our problems, and my mom didn't raise me to leave a woman hanging when she needs me the most" he said tilting her head up smiling.

"You were in my dream Darrell. You told me that you liked me".

"Well that part of the dream was true" he smiled at her. "I like you a lot but I don't want to be played. I see you for who you are, not just someone to fuck. That's why I never understood how you and Chris hooked up" he said laughing.

"That was a terrible mistake. I don't know what I saw in Chris to even want to date him. You do know that if we take things to the next level he'll try to kill you too right"? You could see the fear in Ashley's eyes.

"You let me deal with Chris. Plus we're taking things slow.....there's no rush" Darrell said letting her know things would be okay.

While Ashley was getting dressed to go with Tasha to her doctors appointment the phone rang. It was Britt.

"Hello" Ashley said still a little off from that nightmare.

"Hey girl what's up"? Britt said sounding really happy.

"Getting dressed for Tasha's doctor's appointment".

"Awe...that's good. I was just calling to check on my girls and tell you I no longer mess with Mike anymore" Britt said sighing

"What happened"?

"Well I overheard him talking to someone about trying to kill you but you got away. I assumed he was talking to Chris".

"Damn...I'm sorry you had to leave him under these conditions" they both laughed.

"Don't be sorry, I should've been left him. Plus I met someone else and I'm getting to know him....so I'm fine" Britt said smiling.

"Well I'm going to let you go. Tell Tasha I'll call her later" Britt said before hanging up.

An hour went by and we were in the doctors office looking at baby Anthony Jr. Tasha and Ant had so much joy and happiness on their faces that it made Ashley wish she would've kept her baby.

Tasha was 4 months pregnant and she looked better than ever. She decided that she would have her baby shower early so they could have more time to prepare for Anthony Jr.

Their baby shower was everything Ashley would've wanted at hers. It was hard watching Tasha be pregnant and have so much joy, but Ashley never let it show on her face.

5 months later

Baby Anthony Jr was born on October 1st. Britt, her friend, Darrell, and I were all there anxiously waiting to meet Anthony Jr.

Darrell and I had been dating for 5 months and everything was going great.

While sitting in the waiting room, I remembered that I was a month late. I didn't take a pregnancy test yet and I haven't told Darrell.
