She woke up the next morning to find the bed next to her empty. Christina shrugged on her robe and walked into the kitchen to find her husband whistling to a song that was playing on the radio. She laughed while watching Jay dance around the kitchen and attempt to hit every note. After a while of watching, she crept up behind Jay and hugged his waist from behind. She instantly felt his body tense under his touch. He scoffed and went back to what he was doing at the stove. "You know for your sake, I just hope your wearing something under that robe."

Jay sensed her blushing when she didn't answer him and buried her face into his back. He chuckled at her lack of response and turned off the stove. "You couldn't have slept for a little longer?" He pouted, "I was preparing a breakfast in bed." She moved away from her husband and smiled back at him, "I can always go back and pretend if you want me to." Jay glared at her before heading up the stairs, "you know you're lucky it's a Friday." "Wait! Crap, I'm going to be late." "Don't worry about it, I'll just drop you off." Christina smiled while resting against the stairwell, "even then, I would still have to get dressed like now. Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" He simply shrugged and continued up the steps. "You just seemed so tired lately, and don't think I forgot about that scare you gave me a couple of days ago." "Oh come on! It was really hot, you can't blame me for fainting. And besides, we were home and you caught me." He pinched the bridge of her nose as she sat back on the bed. "Doesn't matter, you could've gotten hurt. Now, say 'ahh'."

Christina chuckled under her breath before following. She tried to hurry but Jay wouldn't allow it. "Listen," he said after noticing her jitters, "you're just going to have to be late because you're gonna have to take a shower and whether you like it or not I'm going to be in there with you." He noticed her blush again and kissed her cheeks. "Just take the last bite and we can shower faster if that'll make you feel better, hm?" She nodded silently and just wished everything would happen faster.

Christina was now standing with her back to her class in front of the chalkboard. Her brain kept being unruly, replaying what happened in the shower earlier that morning. "Um, miss?" Christina turned back to the class and rose an eyebrow while biting her lip. "Yeah? Who...huh? Who wants me?" A few of her students laughed at her obvious mental absence. A slender, freckled blonde girl raised her hand. She pushed her glasses further up before fiddling with the sleeves of her sweater. "Um, I just...are you okay?" The class erupted in giggles. Christina turned back around hiding her blush, "Uh, of course. Just, finish your classwork."

Why would she feel so nervous? It's not like her students know anything. And why should she be embarrassed? It's only a natural thing. Her thoughts were interrupted when another student spoke up. "But miss, we are finished. We've been staring at you for the past five minutes, waiting." All she could do was stare at her class with her mouth open. She quickly recovered and looked at the clock at the back of the classroom. "Then pass up the sheets. Also, continue reading By The Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead."

Several groans erupted through the class. "But miss!" It almost seemed rehearsed. Kayden, the freckled girl, stood up with her hand raised. "No offense Miss Asan, but the book is pretty depressing." Christina watched the nodding heads in front of her before nodding her own. She took a seat at her desk before folding her hands on top of it. "And why exactly is it depressing? Is it because it talks about real life struggles? Or would you rather pull out Twilight? Any one of your fantasy, alpha male werewolf books?" Now she was standing, arms folded before the class. "How about Forever, or even better, Fifty Shades?"

She noticed the uncomfortable teens looking away or scratching the back of their necks. Some even began to doodle in their books or whistle a tune to make the situation all the more awkward. Christina sighed before going back to lean against her desk. She looked back up at the clock and saw that she only had five minutes left.
