The very next day, my mother decided I was healthy enough for school. Delightful. I wouldn't mind another day at home in bed with gossipgirl and Kol, to be honest. But instead, I dragged myself up and got ready.
The weekend had seemed so long, it felt like I hadn't gone to school in weeks. I had probably got lost in Kol's eyes one too many times. Mum had made bacon and eggs, and for once, it actually turned out pretty good. I complimented her on her newly acquired cooking skills, and she just blushed and muttered a thanks.
Finally, I was at school, and the bell was ringing for first period. I arrived slightly late with no time to socialise with friends, so I quickly rushed to class. History. I guess that was alright. At least I could sit next to Tyler.
As I walked into the room, every head turned to me. They all seemed suprised that I had missed at least one day of school, and also, they had all heard about my new romance. Which means Tyler had aswell.
But as I settled into a desk, he just smiled at me, with a worried look on his face.
"Are you okay Grace?" he frowned.
I nodded and winked at him. "Damon filled you in huh? I'm better now, I just got quite a scare."
He looked down at his books. "I wish I'd agreed to come to the fair with you. Then maybe, you wouldn't have got hurt. I have an amazing sense of smell you know. I could've smelt out that poison." he grinned.
I was about to reply, when Mr. Saltzman walked into the room. He gave me a brief nod, then started talking about old treaties and wars.
I wasn't really listening. I was thinking about how he must know about the poison thing too. I'm pretty sure Damon told everyone, to try and 'help me'.
In a way I think this made it all worse, because, it could be anyone that tried to kill me. But I guess we could trust Allaric.
Tyler tapped me on the shoulder and passed me a note. I smirked. Tyler never did any work or listened in class. This is why I had to tutor him.
I opened the note to see his scribbly blue writing.
'So... you and Kol?'
I grinned up at him, then scribbled back.
'So... you and Caroline?'
He snatched the note from my hand and scowled at me. I knew he wanted me to answer his question, but I felt bad that I hadn't told him myself, so I avoided it awhile longer.
All of a sudden, as Tyler was writing again, a shadow came over us. The rest of the class was jotting notes in their books, and Mr Saltzman had noticed that me and Ty were doing anything but that.
He peered over Tyler's shoulder, then looked at me in concern.
"Kol Mikaelson? Are you sure about this Grace?"
I grunted. He was a teacher, so I had to be polite.
"Mr Saltzman, I am. I have already had this lecture from Damon, and Klaus, and to be honest I don't think you will have any more influence than them."
He smirked, and snatched the note away from Tyler, who was looking shocked, not even realising the teacher was there at all.
"Get back to work then." He demanded.
I sighed and tossed Tyler a look to say 'we'll talk later' , and he nodded back.

At the end of lunch, when I was at my locker getting my books, someone leaned against the locker door, and clanged it shut. It was none other than Harry Mackenzie. I realised that I had forgotten to take him to school that Friday.
