Ena decided that she needed something new to wear when she had this date this week. He was a good guy, and things seemed to be...well, progressing. There were more hand-holding and he had even managed to put his hand on her thigh.

Never thought that would happen, but he is different. I can't imagine him wanting to smack me around and abuse me the way I have been in the past.

There was nothing that made Ena feel as attractive as she felt when she was around him and it felt oddly fun, as if she was supercharged on confidence. Sunday was a slow day as most were at church, so she decided to go shopping at her favorite store.

She looked around and started heading towards the jean aisle, but then a thought popped into her mind, Remember the way Santo looked when I wore the dress to the coffee shop? It was like he had died right then and there. I can gather the courage to do it again to see if the reaction is the same or not.

Ena looked around and wanted to go for something similar, but not the same to what she wore then. She gathered a few options and headed to the changing rooms. There was no one in line and the attendant gave her the hanging tag that was red and had the number five on it.

The first dress that she tried on was a strapless dress that hugged every curve until her waist and then it got semi-puffy. The color of black and a light pink had the contrast that she was looking for though.

The next dress she tried on was a halter-top dress that almost reminded her of salsa dancers. The way the dress spun with her as she moved around making sure that it wasn't going to move on her.

So far, it was her favorite and as she tried on the remaining dresses, none of them stood up to her favorite. There was something about the way it made her feel when she looked in the mirror, some spark of confidence that she had never seen in herself before.

She went found a pair of heels that she could walk in, a black jet necklace and a new silver watch. Something about buying a brand new outfit that renewed her spirits and made her even more excited about the date tomorrow.

He said to meet on the pier. I have never been on a boat...well, there was the one time when I was really young. I only know about it because of the photos around the house. I mean, this sounded like a bad murder show. Kind of cliché to throw a lover overboard to avoid some sort of conflict, but that isn't why he wanted to meet her there, so what was?

Ena made her way to the front of the store and paid for her purchases. She smiled as she left the store and drove to her apartment. When she got home, she rested for a few minutes, then put her new outfit on and sent Santo the picture.

Wow! I was not expecting a photo from you...

I wasn't expecting me to be able to send you one either, so you aren't the only one surprised.

So, what is this about then?

I was wondering if you would like it and if it matched the setting for our date tomorrow.

It's perfect on you and I can't believe it still. It matches the occasion exactly. Do you prefer salsa music or more the waltz?

I don't think it matters to me personally. Dancing normally isn't something that I am good at.
