Chapter 3

" Cedar Evergreen!"

I was feeling dizzy. I almost passed out but I couldn't. All those desperate eyes were watching me, saying, " go up there we all want to go home!" I trudged to the stage like a suffering sheep. I wanted to run to my mom and hug her. I wanted to scream my lungs out. I wanted to sing a song that was so loud that everyone in the world could hear me. I was doomed. I would never survive a single day in that horrible place. But it was too late and I was already standing upstage. All those people watching me made me even more nervous.

" Congrats Cedar. We all wish you have a good time in the games."

I knew she was lying again. This is not a good place to be. Up onstage with the leader telling you 'congrats', all those people watching you, your mother and father crying all the way across the auditorium.

Some guards come and instruct us to a strange door. Phoenix tries to run off the stage, but the guards quickly grabbed her arms. She struggles to break out of the guards arms, and I stay calm and walk through the door. I only got a glimpse of it, but the guards that were holding Phoenix back injected her with a type of medication. But it was only a glimpse.
