Me and Phoenix waited for a really long time. We both thought it wasn't worth it and decided to tell them that we are ready to just go. Right when we were about to go talk to them, we heard a SMACK! Followed by that we heard yelling and quickly sat back down. After about 5 minutes the fighting stopped, and they came to get us.
" My mistake girls!" Said the leader. " He is new here, so he doesn't quite know what he's doing. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Jeanine Matthews. I work with divergents, very dangerous, you know?"
" Nice to meet you." Phoenix said as she shook her hand. I can't believe she didn't notice. Jeanine Matthews! The divergent destroyer! I just ignored it and continued listening.
" You may have rest for the night. But only under one condition, you must start first thing in the morning!"
We both nodded. We started to walk toward the small cabin where we were staying the night.
" Wait! You there!" I slowly turned around. " What is your name?"
" I don't even know yet... She hasn't said anything to me but stuff in sign language... Sorry though..."
" Mute!" She interrupted. " You are mute, right?"
I nodded.
" Hmm. Strange..."
