Chapter 7

What's so strange about being mute? I mean... I have been mute my whole life, and no one said that me being mute is " strange." When the weirdest thing happened. Phoenix threw up all over the floor! I caught her as she fell to the floor. I was so confused. I payed her on a bed in the cabin, and she passed out. I knew that the thing that the guards injected into her earlier was no good.

" Girls, is everything alright in there?" A deepish voice said.

Oh no! The guards will think I killed her! Then a splurge of blood came out of Phoenix's mouth and she sat up. Her face was as pale as when they called her name at the dome choosing.

" What is going on?!?!" Phoenix screamed. I tried to calm her down, but nothing worked. It seemed to make her MORE mad. That's when the guard came in.

" WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!" The guard screamed.

" Cedar is trying to attack me!!!" Yelled Phoenix.

" Both of you better SHUT UP! Or I will tell Jeanine about what you two are doing!"

I nodded in fear that he wouldn't tell her. But right when he left the room, Phoenix gave me the dirtiest look, and screamed bloody murder for no reason.

" ALRIGHT THAT IS ENOUGH!" The guard yelled. "YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME! I AM DONE WITH YOU STUPID GIRLS, ALRIGHT!!!"

I wanted to hit Phoenix. I wanted to hit her soooo hard. She thinks she's so perfect. She's just a spoiled little brat.

" THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT CEDAR!" Phoenix yelled.

" Phoenix, you stay here, Cedar! You come with me!"

The guard grabbed my arm real tight. I tried to slip away, but slammed myself in the door on the way out. I barely walked to Jeanine's office as the guard was tugging on my arm.

Was I going to die?

I entered Jeanine's office. I was blinded by the flashing lights everywhere.

" Hello Cedar... What brings you by?"

" She was torturing Pho-"

" I asked Cedar."

My eyes were as big as saucers. I was scared out of my mind. And Phoenix, is she ok?
