Tom carried my things up the stairs towards a room. He opened the door and let me go first. My jaw nearly dropped when I entered the room. (Bedroom above) I turned to face Tom. "I know. I couldn't help but spoil you" he said smiling.
"You didn't have to spoil me" I said smiling.
"Of course I did" he said hugging me.
"Wait a second! This means I'll be going with you to America!" I said excitedly.
"That is correct" he said, "go ahead and get yourself comfortable. I'll go start supper." He left the room leaving me alone in the large bedroom. I plopped down onto my bed with a THUMP! It's so comfortable. I took off my shoes and took off my wet sweatpants and changed into a different pair. This has to be a dream. For over 2 weeks Tom has come to the library everyday just to talk with me or steal Nana's cookies.
"Ellie! Supper is ready!" Tom called. I got up off the bed and ran down the stairs. On the kitchen table were two plates of macaroni 'n' cheese. I sat down beside Tom and gave him a smile. I was really excited about this new adventure I'd have with Tom. Tom told me that we'd be leaving for America in a few days. After supper ,which was absolutely amazing, I walked back upstairs to go to bed. I jumped into the soft bed. It felt like a marshmallow. The bedroom door creaked open and Tom walked in. He walked over to my bed and gave me a kiss on the forehead.
"Goodnight darling" he said in a soft voice thinking I was asleep.
"Goodnight" I said opening my eyes.
"Get some rest" he said turning off my bedside lamp. He walked out of the room closing the door behind him. Is he ready to be a father?
