Chapter 21: Broken

Donnie was freaking out, everything around him was moving, vibrating, it was simply making him dizzy. The the darkness went over him, and Shredder possessed Donnie. He took over.

Raph widen his eyes as he ran to Leo's room. He opened the door with a quick fling and shared Leo. Leo groans from Raph's shaking, and he rubbed his head.

"Raph, what's wrong?!" He asked in anger. Raph then gripped his shoulders. "DONNIE IS FREAKING OUT, MAN!"

Leo then widen his eyes, as he jumped out of bed and ran with Raph to the kitchen. There was Donnie, standing there, without a weapon in hand.

His eyes were glowing red like before, a sign he's controlled at the moment. "Donnie, we're not here to fight." Leo said as he gestured his hands a bit.

Donnie gave an evil smirk and laughed evilly. "Well, I'm here to fight." He said, he moved a bit forward, cracking his knuckles.

"Let's see how tough you are." Donnie said as he started to punch Leo in the plastron. Raph pulled out his Sai, and start to attack Donnie, and pushed him back. But apparently, Donnie didn't take too much damage.

Donnie attacked one more time, but Leo was able to block it with his katana. Donnie grabbed his katana, and pinned Leo to the wall, and threatened him by placing the katana on his throat.

"Step one inch, Red, and your dear Leader will be dead." Said Donnie evilly as he made the katana nearer to his throat. Leo was trying to push it away, but Donnie was too powerful.

Then, a person entered the room. He looked really sad, and looked like he was holding tears back. "D-Donnie?" He stuttered as he looked at his older brother with hurt in his eyes.

Donnie looked at him and he dropped the katana. His eyes closed and Donnie placed his hand on his head. His eyes stopped glowing. Donnie fell to his knees, and his two older brothers kneeled and gave Donnie comfort.

Mikey ran up to him and looked at his brother. Then, unexpectedly, Donnie blacked out. Leo caught him, and carried him. "Guys, we need to do something, now."

"-onnie?"

That's the words the purple clad turtle could hear as he started to wake up from his slumber.

"-amato?"

All he could hear were cut off words from a girl.

"DONATELLO HAMATO!"

That finally woke him up fully. He was blinking his eyes as he could see the girl who was looking at him. Her hair were flowing down as she looked at the turtle. Donnie then pushed her away slightly and he sat upright. Donnie groaned a bit, and rubbed his head.

"Nicole, what are you doing in here?" Asked Donnie as he stared at the girl. "To watch over you while your brothers are in the night watch." She replied back.

Donnie then turned his head to the left to see his wall clock. It was 8:00 P.M. "It's late, you begged get going." Claimed Donnie as he worriedly looked at Nicole.

"It's fine, I'll stay." She said back in a soft tone. For the past few minutes Nicole has been talking softly to Donnie, something different.

"Where's the other girls? Aren't they here or something?" Asked Donnie.

"They're here, in the living room. They're watching TV."

Then Nicole's concerned face then came up. She thought of something that Mikey told her a while ago. "Donnie, what happened?"

Donnie then confused a bit, then the realization hit him. "Well, I don't know.. It's really hard to explain."

"Okay then.. Well, are you okay now?" Asked Nicole. She was already pretty anxious for Donnie. "I'm fine, for now, but don't think I'll be fine in the future."

Nicole frowned because of his response. "N-Nicole? Did I say something bad?"

"You know what!? I came here to be greeted with a warm and enjoyable greeting, like what me and Brenna expected. But all I see now is your family losing hope! It's like you guys are.. Different! I thought everything will be okay.. But it's not." Nicole was getting a bit teary in the moment then she suddenly place her hands on her mouth.

"I-I'm sorry, Donnie.." She felt regret on the words she previously said. Donnie looked broken, but he understanded what Nicole has just admitted on front of him. "I understand, Nicole."

Nicole looked at him and was a bit shocked on what he said. She was expecting him to be mad at her or really angry. Nicole sighed a bit.

"Well, Donnie, you better take the pills my dad gave you, and drink some water.. I'm just gonna go." She awkwardly said as she head out of Donnie's room.

"You guys are going already?! Aw c'mon! We just arrived!" Complained Mikey. Olivia grabbed her sling bag.

"Well, sorry, we have our homes as well." Replied Olivia. "And we have lives." Added Brenna as she placed her phone in her pocket.

"Well, see ya guys tomorrow." Said Leo as he walks towards his room.

Nicole, who was still a bit guilty of what she did a while ago, she head towards the ladder real fast. "Guys come on, we need to go."
