CLARA'S POV

My mom walks in on me beating Toby up.

"Clara stop it right now," she says and I stop mid smack. She tells me to go talk to my dad in their room. I get up and run to her room. I stop and knock on the door. I plan to call him Daddy because sometimes that gets me out of trouble.

"Come in," my dad says. I open the door and go in.

"Hi Daddy," I say, "Mom told me to come talk to you."

"What did you do?" He asks as I go over to his bed where he is sitting.

"I just beat Toby up," I say.

"Clara," he says, "how many times do we have to tell you to not beat your brother up?"

"But Daddy he inturrupted my drawing time," I say.

"That doesn't mean you can beat him up," he says, "go get your sketchbook and bring it to me now. You are grounded from it for a month."

   "THIS ISN'T FAIR," I shout.

"I said go get it now," he says. I go get my sketchbook and take it to him. I hand it to him and run back to my room where I slam the door.

Jace's POV
I hear a knock on the door.
"Come in," I say. The door opens and Clara comes in.

"Hi Daddy," she says, "Mom told me to come talk to you."

"What did you do?" I ask knowing she is calling me Daddy to stay out of trouble. She comes over to the bed where I am sitting.

"I just beat Toby up," she says like it is nothing bad.

"Again Clara," I say, "how many times do we have to tell you to not beat your brother up?"

"But Daddy he inturrupted my drawing time," Clara says.

"That doesn't mean you can beat him up," I say, "go get your sketchbook and bring it to me now. You are grounded from it for a month."

   "THIS ISN'T FAIR," she shouts.

"I said go get it now," I say. She goes to get her sketchbook and brings it to me. She hands it to me and runs back to her room where she slams the door. I didn't want to take her sketchbook but I had to. Clary comes in and sits down. She sees Clara's sketchbook in my hand.

"This is the fifth time in the past three months," I say, "we sent Toby to Idris for a month hoping that when he got back she would miss him too much to want to beat him up. I took this away and told her she can't have it for a month."

"Maybe sending her to a mundane school would be good for her. We could send her to St. Xavier's," Clary says.

"Ok," I say, "contact Eric and get her enrolled."

Clary calls him and I decide to look at Clara's sketches. She only lets Bay see them. I open the first page and see Clary and Izzy both with baby bumps. I turn the page to see one of my dad Stephen, me, and Bay. The next one is Jocelyn, Clary, and Clara. The next one is Sebastian and Clary sitting on two thrones surrounded by fire. I gasp as I stare at it.

"Clary you should see these," I say. She comes over and looks through the sketchbook.

The next day
Clara's POV
I go to the library not wanting to see my parents. Bay came in this morning and told me that they wanted to talk to us. They are sitting on one of the couches with my sketchbook on my dad's lap and another sketchbook on my mom's lap. Bay is sitting on another couch right across from them. I go sit down beside Bay.

"You will both be going to a mundane school," my dad says.

"It is called St. Xavier's and it is the school I went to," my mom says, "you guys start on Monday."

I smile at Bay who smiles back. My smile fades when they tell Bay to leave the room. She nods and gives me a reasurring smile before leaving the room. My dad holds up my sketchbook.

"Why didn't you show us these before?"

"There are a few that I thought would've brought up bad memories," I say as he flips to a page. He holds it out for me to see. I see that it is the one of my uncle Sebastian and my mom sitting on two thrones surrounded by fire.

"How did you know about this?"

"I saw it in a dream," I say. My mom nods and my dad hands me my sketchbook. He stands up and leaves. I notice my mom is crying. I go over and give her a hug. When she stops crying she hands me the sketchbook that was on her lap.

"This is my sketchbook," she says, "I haven't told you my story yet. This is my story or at least most of it. I have been drawing it out since you were born. I just finished it last week. I want you to look at it and to see my story."

I nod and give her a hug. We leave the library and I go to my room. I open my mom's sketchbook as I sit down. My phone rings before I can start to look at the drawings. I see that it is Seth so I answer it.

    "Hello," I say.

"Hey," Seth says, "are you doing anything right now?"

"Actually I am," I say, "my mom gave me her sketchbook and I am looking through it."

"Can you look at it on Monday?"

"I start school on Monday," I say, "I will text you later."

I hang up and open the sketchbook up.

I made this chapter pretty long since I haven't updated in a while.
