This is whole chapter is going to be about Clara seeing what is in Clary's sketchbook.
Clara's POV
I open my mom's sketchbook and look at the first page. It is a picture of a little girl with red hair and green eyes. It looks like she is running after a small faerie. In the back round is her mother looking at her with a worried and upset expression.
The next page is a picture of a of the same little girl with her mom walking up to a door with snow around it. The door looks very familiar. That is when I realize that it is Uncle Magnus's door.
The next page is the same little girl pulling Magnus's hair. Sparkles and glitter are flying everywhere. There is another woman there and she has brown hair. There is also a cat on the page.
The little girl now eight years old is hugging a man. At the top of the page it says "the first time I met Luke." At the bottom there is a quote. "Clary this is Luke, my dearest friend."
The little girl is about ten years old now. She is at a table drawing something. Her mother and the man are standing behind her. The angelic power rune is everywhere and her mother looks worried. In the corner is Magnus's door.
The girl is about fifeteen now. She is standing outside of a school with four boys. The school sign says "St. Xavier's."
The next one is the boys all playing instruments and the girl is sitting on the floor with another girl. On the side of the page is a list of band names.
The next one is the girl's mother in a bedroom. The walls are covered in runes. The mother looks worried.
The next one is at a club. It is Pandemonion. The sign has the angelic power rune and the girl is pointing to it. A blue haired boy tells the bouncer to let them in.
The girl sees three teenagers, one girl and two boys. The girl has raven black hair and a snake whip. One of the boys looks like the girl with the black hair. The other one has blonde hair. They are killing a demon.
The girl is sitting on some stairs. She is talking to the blonde haired boy in a greenhouse. They kiss as the flowers in the backround bloom.
There is a man with black hair. He is telling the girl and the blonde haired boy that they are related. The girl looks upset.
The next ten pictures take place after the girl turns sixteen. There is a dark brown haired girl with a werewolf in the back round. There is the girl talking to the blonde haired boy and the man that the girl met when she was eight. There is a pond when the girl is with a group of shadowhunter teenagers and a mundane. The girl is kissing the blonde haired boy in the faerie court. The girl is in a graveyard watching as her best friend turns into a vampire. There is the blonde haired boy showing the girl a piece of glass. There is people fighting on a boat. There is a ship being blown up. There is a truck driving on water with a daylighter vampire.
The next set of pictures take place in Idris. The girl sneaking out of someone's house. The girl standing on a set of stairs with a black haired boy. There is a chimney with hearts and question marks and dancing squirrels. There is a burned down house. There is the girl talking to her vampire friend as he climbs up a pole. At the bottom of that page it says, "he is Spiderman."
The next page is the girl talking to her mother. There is a boy climbing the demon towers. There is a man raising Raziel as the girl is immoblized and the boy she loves is lying dead. The girl is asking Raziel for the blonde haired boy back. There is a girl comforting her friends as they mourn their little brother. There is a girl in a silver dress talking to the boy with the blonde hair.
The girl is hanging from a rope as her boyfriend cuts the rope. The girl is wearing a bridesmaid's dress. The girl is helping her mother with her wedding dress. The girl is standing still as her boyfriend is holding a knife against her throat. The girl is sitting in a pink bedroom. The girl is with her brother and her boyfriend in Paris, Prague, and Venice. She is stabbing her boyfriend with a sword.
Her boyfriend is surrounded by fire. They are talking to a blonde haired girl. They are in the faerie court. They are in a tunnel. The blonde haired boy is being carried by a demon with a note at the bottom of the page, "flying death turtle." There is a cave with a lake. There is the girl talking to her brother. The girl is sitting on a throne. The girl is stabbing her brother. The girl and her friends are talking to a demon. They are back in Idris. The girl is at her mother's wedding. The girl is talking to a women.
The girl is at her own wedding. She is laughing with her best friend and Parabatai. They are both pregnant. She is holding a baby boy. She is holding twin baby girls. The next page is the twin girls becoming Parabatai. The next one is a picture of all the three of her kids. At the bottom of the page it says, "The biggest joys of my life."
I close the sketchbook and take it with me. I go find my parents in the greenhouse. I hand my mom her sketchbook and sit down with them.
"You guys went through a lot in just a year," I say. They nod and I give them a hug.
