Dipper walked into to the coffee shop. It had been a couple days since he had last been here and it was once again Pacifica that was working at the register and taking people's orders. He swallowed and stepped up.
"Hey," He said, causing her to look up from where she was doodling on a napkin.
She rolled her eyes. "Hi, what can I get for you?" She asked, not even trying to sound cheery and bright like she did with other costumers.
Dipper laughed a bit. "You really hate me don't you?" He asked.
"Yes," Was her quick reply.
He nodded. "Well, that's... understandable. Which is why I was wondering if we could start over. I was an idiot and I didn't deserve you. I don't deserve you, but I'd like to fix whatever problems we have."
Pacifica stared at him a moment with a 'Seriously?' face. "No Dipper," She said finally. "I don't want to get back into any sort of relationship with you at least not now. Come back and ask in a few years and maybe I can think about forgiving you. Now, what can I get for you today?" She asked.
"You've changed Pacifica," He said. "What happened?"
"You changed too Dipper. And you happened. You brought this upon yourself. Are you going to order or not?" She asked.
It was his turn to stare at her a moment. He sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I'll just have a black coffee, thank you," He told her. He decided he would have to do this slowly, over time, but he would make things better. Even if that meant they weren't in a relationship and just friends. He didn't want to have that barrier between them when they used to be good friends.
He just stood there, waiting for his order, these thoughts going through his mind until eventually she came back with his coffee. "Enjoy," She said in a tight voice before going back to take the next costumer's order.
He sighed and left with his coffee. 'She'll come to her senses soon enough...' He thought to himself. 'Hopefully...'
