"Ha... Ha... How... Long... Is the trip?" Nox wheezed in exhaustion by the long trip with the Guru for literally 3 hours. The Guru said, "A man can do very little with time, save racing against it," he took several deep breaths to save his exhaustion. Nox panted slowly thinking to himself, Why does he make so many good points? It's so fascinating. "We have arrived," Corismas said as he stopped moving with his wooden hiker's stick planted beside him. The two men stood in front of a large monastery-looking building, which it was colored completely red with two vast doors towering over them. The building shaped almost like a perfect square, but the oddly shaped roof gave it away because it was similar to a roof of a castle or restaurant found in China or Japan. "It's... Pretty huge," he spoke in awe of viewing the building to admire its comfortable style. "Indeed, this is my home as well as a training ground for others that decided to come here," he continued explaining, "However, it is one of the most difficult training grounds to master." Nox studied his words critically and he began to ask, "Do other Gurus train here?" The Guru replied, "Yes, in fact these Guru have been trainees and students in the past, but if they decide to train more, they could." They walked toward the doors, and Corismas waved his stick in front of Nox. "Krÿptōkîen Nünigua!" The Guru shouted at the door with his arms extended. The doors swung open by the Guru's words and arms extending, and Nox looked in awe and amazement. "H-How...-" the Guru replied instantly, "The force? It is a technique I have performed called 'Light Soul' to manipulate gravitational pushes and pulls," Corismas explained. Nox blinked in confusion of the oddity of Light Soul, "Light Soul... I'll keep a note of that." They enter in, most of the area consisted of dangerous obstacle courses, such as pits with spikes, swinging guillotines, many punching bags, a whole gallery of weapons including swords, guns, nunchucks, scythes, hammers, gauntlets, even weapons that can transform into different weapons, such as a gauntlet that can blast multiple bullets and swords that can extend into scythes, sounds really familiar to some readers when watching a tv show or anime. Nox darted his eyes left to right rapidly to examine all of the features that the house contains starting with the weapons, "Woah... This place is enormous..." The Guru smiled, "It was difficult to make this so this is the best I could do." Nox ran to the gallery with sparkling eyes viewing the transforming weapons and drools in awe, "What... Are those?" Corismas slowly walked over to the gallery, "Ah these weapons are my favorite kinds, transforming weapons, these weapons can become another weapon in just a matter of seconds," he explained. Nox specifically went up to a small cylinder and examined it for a while, "What's this?" The Guru looked at it as well then he shrugged, "I have no idea, it is a weapon I have not used before," he said. Nox looked at Corismas and raises his eyebrows, "You wanna check it out?" The Guru shook his head, "I am afraid I cannot allow that, not until you're trained," he continued, "but we shall start with a placement test to see what you can do," he walks to a giant, black mat where it was used for sparring. Nox's eyes widened as he realized that he was going to face against his childhood hero, then he would slowly step on to the other side of the mat and raised his fists, "You sure you wanna do this? I don't want to hurt you," he said concernedly. The Guru removes his kimono to his combat outfit which was a white tank top shirt and red GI pants, "I am certain, now let us commence this placement test! Hah!" He ran toward Nox with agile speed and unleashed a heavy punch and a light kick. "YIKES!" Nox shouted as he ducked from the punch to the face and raised his knee to block Corismas's attack, "Here we go!" He grabbed on to the Guru, hook punched him to the chin, kicked his shin, and back kicks him to the chest. Corismas felt a strong hit to his chin but clashed against Nox's kick with his own, he grabbed on to his leg after weaving to the right to dodge Nox's back kick, "I have you now," he then pulls Nox over and slams him down on to the mat with a powerful force of a hammer to a nail. "AGH GAHH!!" Nox shouted in pain by the impact of the mat, then he laid there panting, and he got up slowly, "Augh... Ouch, that hurt.... A lot," he said. "Now it's my turn! WATAH!!!" He unleashed a strong uppercut, a hook to his cheek, and a double fisted punch to his chest to send him back, "How do you like that?!" Corismas grunted in pain sliding back from the double fisted punch, "Very well, let us compare raw power at our highest degree!" He flexed his muscles to the best of his ability in which he reveals veins on his arms and fists while yelling. Nox raises a fist into the air as they both unleashed a barrage of heavy punches at each other with all the punches clashing against one another, they both yelled out, "ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!!!!" The Guru yelled out, "INCOMING!!!" He unleashed a devastating punch to Nox's liver then raises his fist toward his throat and forces Nox flying backward with his Light Soul, "Finished!" Nox groaned in pain by the shot to the liver as he laid back against a pole near the mat, "Oww man that hurts," he groaned constantly. Corismas walked over to him, kneeled beside him, and places a hand on his head. A faded aura of light coursed through Nox's body which healed his wounds from the fight, "Wha- how'd you do that?" He asked curiously, and the Guru replied, "Light, my student."

3 years have passed. 3 years since Nox's opening discovery. Now he has understood the gist of his power, but he felt as if he is still not done, he wanted to learn all of his power. "Master," he called for the Guru. The Guru replied weakly, "Yes?" "I know how to manipulate my light energy by synchronizing my breathing and manipulate my Chan-Chi into light, but yet I feel as if I had learned nothing of its true power," he continued, "I want to know the full extent of my power." The Guru let out a sigh of disappointment, "I am afraid my resources are limited, usually when our students are fully trained, they would make an exit out of the building to live on their journey, but you... You are a different, unique student." Nox shrugged in a befuddled manner, "That doesn't answer my question," the Guru interrupted, "You are not ready unless you are willing to wield a weapon in which the continuation of your journey will mostly consist of using your weapon in a specific stance with a specific way." The student thought for a minute, and he tried to sink in all of the details and recall all the lessons he has reviewed with the Guru for the last three years. However, he was stubborn at the time so he replied moments later, "But I have some experience with-" the Guru stopped him, "No, trust me Noxore, it is for the best. I am sorry," he said with inconvenience. Nox sighed but he wasn't going to take "no" for an answer, so he frowned slightly with the result for the Guru's reply to his question based on using weapons. He really wanted to try the weapon mentioned earlier in the beginning of his training, the small, futuristic-looking cylinder in the gallery of mighty weapons. "... I want to take a battle test," he said confidently, and the Guru perks up with a surprised look, "Oh? You would like to take a test now after your training? Are you sure?" He nodded with determination burning in his eyes, "Yes, I am certain to test my new abilities," he took a deep breath to take a head start in synchronizing his breathing. He spread his legs across the mat then clenches his fists prepared for battle. The Guru was already in his battle uniform, so he stood up from his seat and cracked his knuckles to prepare himself for combat, "Very well... I will not kill you, but you have to be careful," he said concernedly. Nox raised his fists to prepare himself to take any hits, and the Guru raised his palms to prepare his defense. "I won't hold back!" He dashed toward the Guru with the speed reaching 26 miles per hour and throws a heavy but quick punch to the Guru's gut, or his stomach. Corismas swiftly weaves to the right as a dodge, and he unleashes a low kick, but Nox countered with a kick to his shin. The two men quickly clashed punches, kicks, and knees then they jumped back to break away from their heated close combat. Nox took a deep breath, he synchronized as a fading charge of light glows into his left fist, he looks up at the Guru, he rushed over with the same speed as last time, "Take this, my new finishing move! Hah!" He lunged forward with the fist thrusted to the Guru's chest. Corismas flexed his right muscle and threw a devastating punch to collide against the fist energized with light Nox produced. The clash formed a shockwave of wind around the entire area, but nothing seemed to be moving from the blast as if the furniture around them were protected by an invisible shield. Corismas bellowed with his deep voice calling out to Nox, "You are not satisfied with your strength that you have so far discovered?" Nox yelled in response, "That's right!!" He rushed over to the Guru once more and unleashed another fist energized with light to his face this time. The Guru easily blocked it with his own foot, he raised his leg immediately to clash Nox's fist with his ankle, and surprisingly he didn't take any damage from that impact. Nox stopped attacking for a moment and realized the untouched room, he spoke with a befuddled tone, "How is this room still as it as despite being a battlefield for our fight?" He darted his eyes left to right rapidly in heavy confusion. Within a moment's notice, the Guru appeared in front of him, "You still have much to learn..." Those were his last words before he raised his arms as an odd but dramatic decrease in gravity emerges in the room to lift Nox off the ground, lifts a crate at the side of the mat with nothing inside with Light Soul, waves his right arm left to fling it on to Nox's body, lowers his arms to increase gravity to original, and the crate landed on top of Nox's body in which the impact knocked him unconscious.

Note of Understanding: Keep in mind that the reason I skip the years of Nox's training is because the training for Nox isn't going to be prominent in this book, and again the light system is a bit complicated so I will eventually type a book about the Light System along with the elements of Nox's training. In this book, we will be focusing on the start of Owen and his adventures as you read from the description. I know that the description may have spoiled a bit of the story, but this is my first time to write a book on Wattpad so I want to try the best as I can to make the book as interesting as possible. So for the rest of this book and the next chapter and so forth, we will be focusing on the present day. It's not that chapter 1 and 2 were complete wastes, in fact the chapters put a great emphasis on how the main powers of light will start out. Again, I won't spoil anything, this book is for you guys to enjoy and reveal many epic journeys that Owen will face later on in the book. This is a note of understanding so you can enjoy the book without having so many questions, thank you for the cooperation in reading this and enjoy this book y'all!

"You deserve a bright future, my student of determination," the Guru said bowing down with respect after a well fought battle. He pushed the box aside, carried Nox into his arms, and took him a bedroom behind the dojo, which the bedroom was similar to a hotel bedroom, square and ordinary. Corismas said, "Fate is a number of possibilities that only a mind can determine for themselves, that is part of what makes the universe and its creatures so unique."
