Chapter 5 No Turning Back

The female was known to be a very sweet and innocent girl, but this was a time where she must take a stand to protect her real family. In her mind, Natura thought that Magnexe was no longer part of a family that she knew, but rather Magnexe belongs the fiery abyss that she would not dare to call it by its name. Natura links gazes with her opponent, then she raised her arms to blockade her home from Magnexe, "I cannot let you hurt them anymore! Enough is enough Magnexe, you must stop!"
Magnexe only chuckles, "Your puny protection will just wither away like the pretty flower that you are... Sweet cheeks," he said pinching Natura's cheek.
Natura growls and throws a punch that is surprisingly strong for a woman. The force of her attack would send Magnexe a good distance of ten feet away from her. Magnexe wiped his mouth, "Ohhh I see. Being a cold wife now huh? Just accept that it's me, your husband but just a whole lot different now with this power."
Natura shook her head denying him, "You are not my husband Darkness! You took him away from me, and for that I shall defeat you!"
Magnexe sighs, "You idiot, you did not see me kill your son."
Natura gasps extremely shocked by Magnexe's statement, "... Y-You... Killed my son? You... Monster... Now you have angered me!!"
She became filled with rage and slams her palms on to the ground as vines start growing under Magnexe. The vines would then begin to constrict him tightly and quickly. Magnexe looks at the vines unamused since Natura wasn't really the one with fighting. Natura walked up to the constricted Magnexe enraged still, and she threw a punch to his face as hard as she can. It only did very little damage to Magnexe, but Natura just kept on going as much as she can until she fell from exhaustion. Magnexe was injured a good amount from her constant punching, but he sighed saying, "Is it my turn now?"
The vines that constricted the man began to wither and rot in dark energy that Magnexe was covered in. All of a sudden, his right hand was free, so he grabbed her right to the throat and lifted her up like she was weightless. Magnexe wasn't amused at all, "So much for the Lover of Nature. I can easily assume you're not that much of a fighter, but to say that you could defeat me? That was a really hilarious joke. This planet deserves a king, and I'll be the one to rule over all of this land as soon as I get rid of you. But first, I will want to warn you. I get stronger every time I sink in the aura of Darkness. Your little pawn of a son Nox, he's just another joke thrown into the trash. Plop! Dead! Now that you guys are first to witness my full terror, you'll be the first guest to meet the Shadows, the ones that will consume your soul for all eternity. Apparently it was too soon to play with you.... Things... Oh no matter. I'll kill you first Natura... Then your children that you're 'hiding' and then all of the protectors of this planet. Just watch your own children scream in agony! Oh oops! You'll be dead at that time! As long as the Blood Moon of Discord is existent, all Darkness will be unleashed to take over this world and the next! It was nice knowing you Natura, but really it hasn't. Heheh, okay I'm done talking. Just die already you worthless piece of trash."
Magnexe throws the helpless lady to a tree nearby. She was helpless and pouring tears, "Help me..."
She whispered, but then she still thought to herself, 'It will be okay. Nox is still alive. I can feel it... My children will save them... I hope.'
Those were her final thoughts when Magnexe formed three swords of Dark energy and thrown two piercing through her shoulders and one that pierced her right to the heart. The sword pierced all the way though the heart to finish her off. Natura had her eyes closed anticipating death, she let out her final breath, fell to her knees, and lied down on the ground. It was over. Natura has died from Magnexe's execution. Magnexe spits on to her dying corpse, "Trash..."
Suddenly, her corpse was surrounded with green aura with small glimmers from time to time, and then her corpse just vanished. Magnexe blinked witnessing the disappearance of her corpse then shrugged, and then he walked off to the house. A limb of Nox was twitching in which Magnexe noticed that Nox was reaching for his weapon. Magnexe simply stepped on the weapon that Nox was reaching for. The evil one scoffed, "How pathetic of the Chosen Hero."
He picked up Nox's weapon smirking, "I guess you won't be needing this."
He grabbed a hold of the cylinder with both hands and snapped it in two to break it apart. Being the heartless man that he is, he just dropped the broken pieces and walked away go leave Nox to die off, "You're dead to me."
Nox just simply fell unconscious from critical injury. Magnexe walked into the house calling out creepily to the two children left alone, "Kiddies!! Come out and play!!"
The two, lonely children stayed quiet in fear of what he will do to them. There were an infinite amount of possibilities of what Magnexe will do to them, such as enslaving them, torture them, kill them, many horrific things that he could do now that the Darkness possessed him. Kitsune and Reno hid themselves under a pile of shoe boxes in the closet to keep away from Magnexe, but Magnexe was thorough with this search. Magnexe sniffed the air in the room and turned to the closet door. Kitsune held her breath to keep completely silent alongside Reno, but despite that Magnexe was drawing closer to the door. The intensity and suspense of the two children fearing their insane father began to rise by Reno's slight shaking by the fear and trauma of what could've happened to Nox and Natura in his point of view. Kitsune felt a combination of fear, sadness, and rage for what Magnexe has done to her mother, which she assumes that Magnexe killed her. Reno figured that this childhood was the worst one he can possibly have, as his mother and brother were brutally murdered by his own father. Talk about betrayal, or is it? Kitsune was hugging Reno close to her to have them stay close in one spot under the shoebox.
The intensity of fear rose dramatically as the sadistic, evil man opened up the doors of the closet where the two, innocent, helpless children were. He slowly sniffs the air in hopes of finding the scent, however it was useless since the closet smelled like stinky socks that were left outside after a heavy game of football but Magnexe didn't mind the smell. He turned his head left to right to check thoroughly around the closet, but they were nowhere to be seen in his sight. After what seemed like an eternity, he slowly left the closet because he couldn't find it them anywhere, or so the kids thought. Kitsune's ears flattened to the sound of Magnexe's footsteps fading away because he is leaving, so she and Reno started to relax a little bit in relief. Suddenly, the box on top of them was removed. Surprise! It was Magnexe, and he knew all along that they were there. "Hello there! I couldn't have forgotten about the best part of the show!"
He grabbed both of the kids with both of his hands in which they were grabbed by the heads. Reno and Kitsune were screaming in fear, beginning to tear up from the horrific sight of themselves being caught by his father. Reno's face became filled with tears and fear, but Magnexe showed no mercy by bringing the two outside of the house and deep into the woods that were nearby.
The powerful claps of thunder boomed in the distance of the sky and rain stormed down on to the ground from the clouds. The woods were damp, dark, misty, slippery, and muddy by the rain, cold by the wind of the dark, cloudy skies as Magnexe tossed Reno to the muddy ground and encased Kitsune in a cage that levitated beside him. Reno flopped on to the muddy ground, and Kitsune shook the cage with her emotions in a mixture of irate fear. She leaned on to the bars and gasped at what Reno was getting into. "Reno! Reno!!!" She yelped, "Dad! Stop this! Please, I beg of you!!"
"I can also beg of you to shut your mouth, or else I'll erase BOTH of you off the face of the earth," Magnexe replied with a malicious, greedy smirk across his face. Kitsune shook the cage constantly, but to no avail, the cage did not move one bit. She yelped, pleaded, and shook as much as she could to even move the cage, but Magnexe just ignored Kitsune's feeble attempts. "Why are you doing this?!" She shouted.

"I think a better question is why did they choose me."

"C-Choose?"

"Yes! Choose. What? Did I stutter? Let me explain to you feeble-minded weaklings on how it works," he continued on, "The Darkness chooses its victims to possess through the Sins that they performed over the years of their life. Sins are not just things that you've done wrong, rather Sins are acts of terror and evil committed through one of many ways. This body committed the Sin of Greed, which he kept his arrogance at a very high level and got all that he ever wanted to himself at one point in time. Until that wife of his came along, he stopped completely. Why do you think I know all this you may ask? Well I've been quite.... Busy trying to win a war here. A war between the Light and the Dark that I am going to finish off myself. So I wanted to choose this body to possess because of the power of greed that was hidden inside his mind and can be released! Too bad his wife and son are dead, but now that we're here. Let's say we give this little boy a surpri-"

"No!" Kitsune shouted out to interrupt Magnexe. "None of this makes any sense! This isn't what I wanted to happen dad. Why would this 'Darkness' choose us to kill? I didn't want any of us to die, but you had to make it happen! What've you done? Why are you doing this now? I don't want this. Please!"
She fell to her knees and began to cry since she felt that there was no hope in this fatal predicament of this new "Darkness" that was bestowed upon the innocent family. Magnexe sighed and turned to Kitsune, annoyed as ever at her constant complaining of what the scene is right now. He felt that it should be time that he and Reno have this time alone, so he turned himself to Kitsune. "You know; I would love to answer your questions right about now, but I think it should be time I would bring you somewhere else."
After he spoke that sentence, the cage started to warp away into a portal of blackness, taking the little cat girl away into it and closing up afterwards. He turned to the little boy Reno with a devilish smirk on his face and whispered in his low, alluring but sinister voice. "Now then, where were we? Oh yes, the reason why I picked you..."
The helpless boy scooted back as much as he could until he slid up to a rock, so he took it and threw it at him. "Go away monster!! Help me!!!"
Magnexe took the rock that was aimed to his face but that barely gave him the slightest of a scratch, so he started to feel his agitation and shouted. "Let me talk you filthy child!" He exclaimed as his eyes glowed Crimson to trap Reno's wrists in handcuffs of a strange black aura. Reno fell back against a tree; he realized that this strange but evil man was in front of him. There was no turning back from this now.
