Chapter 3 Reno and New Beginnings

Year: A.D. 2056
Day: April 20th (4/20)

Nox, the same looks and appearance as usual, stood by near a tall man, with orange hair, black jeans, a black suit, white undershirt, and golden eyes. Nox smiled as he watched a nature green haired lady holding a baby with the same colored hair as Nox did, he spoke with amazement, "he looks just like me." The man with orange hair spoke in a loving tone to the lady, "So Natura darling, what would you like to name this lovely child?" Natura responded sweetly and softly, "Hmm I have not thought about the name yet sweetheart," she gave a giggle and cradling the baby in her arms. The man's name was Magnexe Ryoken, and he retrieved his last name because Nox has became inherited to the family in which he took the chance to live with the couple of Natura and Magnexe. Magnexe and Natura thought silently for what seemed like five minutes until Natura snaps with an idea letting out a heartwarming smile, "How about... Reno... Reno Ryoken?" She asked gently but slightly hesitates for a slight thought that Magnexe wouldn't like that name. Magnexe nodded in agreement with interest to the name, "Reno... Very interesting. I like that name, we shall name this child Reno Ryoken!" Nox smiled, then a little girl ran to the side of the bed where Reno and Natura laid on. The girl wore a purple skirt going down to her knees, a pink t-shirt, and purple boots, her most stunning feature is that her ears were cat ears and she had a tail on her back, in which she would be called a neko. The girl said, "Is that my brother?" She said this in a curious and nosy tone of voice. Natura patted her head as the girl purred softly, "Heh, yes this is your baby brother my little sweet princess Kitsune," she said smiling. Kitsune purred softly as she hopped up and down to reach up to the bed. "Nya, nya," she slightly meowed for assistance to climb up to the bed, so Magnexe held Kitsune by her side and placed her beside baby Reno. Kitsune's eyes dazzled and gleamed in awe by the beauty of the baby, "she's so cute!" The woman giggled, "That's your brother, which means he's a boy." Kitsune scratched her head in confusion because she still needed time to process what Natura had said, "Umm... Oh! Yeah! He's a guy because if you say he's my brother, then he's a guy!" She exclaimed with her idea. Magnexe said, "Well now there's three children in our family, but what ever shall we do if we must work?" Natura replied politely, "Humm, if Nox is old enough, he has the brave, brilliant mind to take good care of my beloved children," from her words, Kitsune purred lovingly and hugs Natura smiling, "Yayyyyy big brother is THE big brother!" Nox smiled, then he walked over to the left side of the bed, and said, "May I hold him?" The woman immediately handed Nox the baby relying that he is responsible enough to take care of her children, so Nox held the baby with his tender hands. "He looks similar to me but I feel a different force of energy inside him... Or it's probably just me," he spoke to the woman with an optimistic look on his face. Magnexe finally let out a sigh and said, "Shall we get going?" The woman and Nox nodded while Kitsune and Reno were asleep filled with serenity, so Magnexe walked over to his wife and helped her get off the bed by holding her hand gently but firmly, then they went off out of the hospital in the middle of a major city in their region known as Regimas City. However while everyone seemed joyous and carefree, Magnexe was not. A great force of darkness was yet to be awakened, and it would be the beginning of the end...

'Where is this...?' Magnexe asked internally in his mind. All that he saw was a pitch black fog surrounding him as he entered into his thoughts. A moment later, a distorted, eerie voice began to crawl up into his ears, "Leave them..." The voice spoke to him. "Leave what? Show yourself!" Magnexe yelled out in slight fear but most worry. The distorted voice began to let out a maniacal laughter, then he lets out a long sigh, "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Magnexe Ryoken?" Magnexe widened his eyes in distress as he looked around frantically, "How do know my name? Who are you and what do you want from me?!" On the outside of his reality, Magnexe shook his head as he walked his family back to a small house in a rural area nearby a forest of complete green called Lush Forests. The house wasn't luxurious or anything, so it was just only a rectangular house with a slightly decorated roof with ornaments hanging on the corners of the roof, and the color of the house was a bright color of white. Kitsune was asleep, but Nox held her on his back while talking in a civilized conversation with Natura. "Well, we're finally home after 2 hours of walking in pain and suffering if someone has osteoporosis, no offense to those that have it anyway," Nox commented. The woman narrowed her eyes to Nox in a bit of question, "Nox, that isn't very polite of you to say." She cradled Reno in her arms as the family walked into their house. Nox apologized awkwardly, "Y-Yes, my apologies mother," he chuckled nervously as he ran to the door to open up for the family to enter. Magnexe thanked Nox for entering then commented, "Thank you Nox, if you weren't here, we'd be a chaotic force. But oh well, when life gives you potatoes, you make potato salad." Nox raised an eyebrow snorting a bit, "Well that's a term I've never heard before, I only know when life gives you lemons, you either throw them out or make lemon juice." Natura raised an eyebrow then asked Nox, "Isn't that called lemonade?" Magnexe walked over to Nox, slapped him to the neck, and swipes across it, "That is what humans so call 'neck.'" Nox inhaled deeply then exhaled long before saying, "And I thought humans were complicated creatures." As they walked inside, Natura settled in on the couch as she felt extremely exhausted from Reno's birth. "Phew... Now that we have arrived home, I'm absolutely exhausted from giving birth to this amazing child." From her words, Reno finally began to open his eyes. His eyes were a decent size, and they were colored in a beautiful emerald green color. It almost looks like straight out of an anime, but I digress, let's move on. Natura smiled down at the peaceful baby and spoke softly, "Welcome to the world my dear Reno." The baby started to make noises softly because obviously he can't speak, at least not yet. Magnexe stepped into the kitchen wearing a red headband, "It's time I deserve the chance to..." He draws out a kitchen knife and flips it around in his hand then stops to hold it front hand, "cook with fruits." Nox rubbed his forehead then laughs, "Don't you think you take this cooking way too dramatically?" Magnexe scoffed and walked to the kitchen counter, "I have my style to this cooking now that I know how to cook food for the family." He took a full-grown watermelon, raised his knife, shouted "HYAHHHH," and swung his knife at the watermelon to chop it in half. Nox raised his eyebrows smiling in amusement as he watched Magnexe cut down some fruits with his knife. Magnexe then took a carrot and quickly chopped the carrots into small pieces, then he smirks. "Want to play some Fruit Ninja?" He asked to Nox the spectator. Nox nodded, raised up some fruits, and smiled, "I'm throwing on your mark father," Nox exclaimed enthusiastically. "READY?!?! LET THEM FLY!!" Magnexe shouted aloud, then Nox threw the fruits in his hand. Magnexe swung his knife at a rapid pace to cut the fruits in multiple pieces. "Haha! This is enjoyable!" As the fruits became sliced, their juices spurted everywhere all over Magnexe and Nox, but they didn't care as long as they were having fun despite the mess. Natura perked up from her bed with Reno in her arms as she heard Nox and Magnexe shouting, "Huh...?" She rubbed her eyes because she recently took a nap, for she wanted to rest because of Reno tiring her out via birth. Nox shouted out the names of the fruits he was constantly throwing at his father, "Watermelon! Cantaloupe! Apple! Now to vegetables!" Nox grabbed out a basket of vegetables, dug into the basket, held out a variety of vegetables, and threw them at Magnexe shouting out names. "Tomatoes! Peppers! Carrots! Celery! Take them all!" He shouted out laughing, and Magnexe slashed his knife upward, downward, diagonally, horizontally, left, and to right at a quick pace. "We'll have some vegetable soup for dinner! Incoming two overgrown watermelons!!" Nox exclaimed as he threw two giant watermelons into the air, so Magnexe hopped up then with a quick slash, he landed down in front of Nox cutting the watermelons into tiny bits in pieces even though he only slashed once, he actually slashed many times due to his quick speeds. Natura walked into the kitchen and exclaimed in shock, "What has happened here?!" Nox fiddled with his shirt collar gulping nervously, and Magnexe started to sweat a bit. "We're sorry ma'am..." Both men said simultaneously as they felt ashamed of what they have done to Natura's beloved kitchen. Without question, Nox jogged into the laundry room, dragged a mop across the floor, and looked to Magnexe, "Bucket please?" Magnexe sighed in disappointment and handed Nox a bucket of soapy water. The kitchen was absolutely disastrous. All over the walls were liquids and juices of the fruits that were sliced apart by the kitchen knife wielded by Magnexe, so he sighs washing up the kitchen knife with water and a sponge filled with soap, "Remind me why we rarely do this," he said. Natura raised her eyebrows confused of why they decided to do this in the first place. "Why do you intend on doing this act in the first place?" She obviously asked to both of the men. Magnexe shrugged in a blank position, "Because... I just..." He sighed then continued, "I wanted to make cooking in the kitchen more fun and enjoyable instead of crying from an onion." Nox glanced at him with an odd expression then nodded, "Logical reasoning father." Meanwhile, Kitsune stumbled toward a massive book of technology of today. "Huuuuuu? What's that?" She pulled on the book with all the strength she had to even open the book to the first page, "HNNNGH!!! This book is heavy!" She grunted then finally pulled through."HNG RATATA!! Gah! There, finally open this book," she blurted out of turn while Natura was speaking to the two men, but she didn't notice Kitsune blurting out. The little neko started flipping pages until she reached the page that is marked as page 1 and she began reading immediately confused about the vocabulary. "Huh? What kind of words are those? Hum... Cool!" She felt interested in her curiosity and continued to read through the book starting at the first page. Meanwhile, Natura assisted the two men, Nox and Magnexe, to finish cleaning up the kitchen, then they were finished. The three adults stood at the entering door of the kitchen, then Nox said, "At least we are finished. Phew that took a while." Magnexe and Natura nodded in agreement of Nox's statement then Natura said, "Say... Nox dear, can you go check on my little girl to see if she's alright please?" Nox bows in respect to his mother and accepted her request, "Yes ma'am." He then exited the kitchen/dining room to the living room where Kitsune was reading. "Kitsune? What on Trinity's Stardust are you reading?" He asked Kitsune with concern as she read a book that was way far above her reading level. Kitsune tried to read the title of the book, but she had trouble pronouncing it. "Umm I'm reading... Teech-noob-logy and its see-unce," she attempted to say, but those words came out of her mouth instead. Nox chuckled when Kitsune tried to attempt to say it right, "Heh, you were close. I think you mean 'Technology and its Science," he corrected her politely as he sat down beside her to assist her in reading the book. "Here, let me help you out to read the book," he said as he was willing to assist his sister in reading the book. Normally, Nox would be willing to help out anybody in need of help, basically like a local hero. However, he wouldn't consider himself a hero but rather a regular man with a tendency of sharing greater joy to others around the world. Natura is also filled with that nature as well. Natura is a wonderful, cheery, loving, kind, caring, generous woman who would do anything for a friend in need, no matter the costs. She would always think of the positive side of things, she cares all the love she has with her family and all others around the world, and whenever there is a situation that is difficult to fix, she is always praying to God that everything will resolve soon. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows for the happy-go-lucky family with their new member Reno. Something else was lurking into the shadows, something far more sinister and dark.

A pitch black platform materialized in a pitch black background. This is Magnexe's mind battling the darkness that attempts to corrupt him, and Magnexe was not afraid to duke it out with the invading presence. Magnexe raised his right arm on to a handle that was hanging on to the side of his waist. "You better back off my head or I'll slice you apart myself!" He said exclaiming to who may seem like nobody, but he was actually speaking to the darkness that was surrounding him. The darkness spoke to him, "Very well... I shall destroy your consciousness to corrupt you!" A bunch of small dark spheres collided on to one another in front of Magnexe to form a dark replica of him, and his outfit matched the real Magnexe's but his body was completely embodied in dark energy. The duplicate held the handle on his waist as well, essentially copying Magnexe's stance. Magnexe glared at the duplicate, "A mere copy... The original will usually triumph!" He said while slowly drawing out a long, silver katana blade and aiming it toward his opponent, so the duplicate did the same except he had a smirk in his face. "Let us end your misery!" The duplicate said as he dashed over at Magnexe with astonishing speeds and quickly swung his dark katana to the right, but Magnexe was able to raise his blade to the right on time to block it. "Laughable!" Magnexe exclaimed as he threw a strong jab to the duplicate's face to send him away from him. The duplicate rubbed his face as he stepped back from the blast of his punch, but he looked at him as if he barely took any damage, "How primitive of an attack," he mocked Magnexe by his weakness. Magnexe growled, "Try and mock this!" He dashed over toward the duplicate and swung his sword quickly to the duplicate's skull, but the duplicate kicked his left leg which was out in front so he kicked Magnexe to knock his footing over, "Die!" He exclaimed as he slashed his dark katana across his chest while his right leg began to energize a pitch black aura. The duplicate then thrust kicked Magnexe to the chest as the aura pushed Magnexe away from his reach, and Magnexe flew across the platform by the kick. Magnexe slowly got up thinking that the duplicate was going to be a formidable foe, so he aimed his sword toward his opponent. "You're such a brat!" Magnexe yelled as he energized a clear light on to his sword, then he swung his blade to unleash thin but sharp waves toward the duplicate. The duplicate swayed his body back and forth, left to right and said, "Let me just end this already!" He sheathes his blade to his hips, slowly pulls out completely black chains with golden symbols within the chains, flings the chains to constrict Magnexe's body, and energized his arms by the same aura while taunting him, "You alright over there? You seem to find this a bit too tight for ya!" Magnexe grunted in the struggle to pull out of the chains, but then his body began to form a silver symbol above his head and then he said, "All this time, you've made me use this..." He broke open the chains to free himself, lunges toward him, and readied his sword to point it at the duplicate. The opponent raised his arms to ready a powerful blast of dark energy, but Magnexe uppercuts him into the red sky and jumped after him. Magnexe slashed his sword through the duplicate at blazing speeds in the air as they ascended upwards into the clouds, but the duplicate slashes out at Magnexe as well as clashing swords loudly and violently against one another. They reach above the clouds in the battlefield, Magnexe dashes toward the duplicate but he grabbed Magnexe and dived downward from the skies, "Say your prayers Magnexe! Because this is going to be your end!!" A dark aura courses around the falling fight but Magnexe breaks away from his grasp by his silver colored aura that coursed around his body. "Move away!" Magnexe lunged skyward toward his duplicate, disappeared in front of him but the duplicate felt a small sting on to his chest, and Magnexe appeared on the ground sheathing his sword as a white tornado engulfed the duplicate. "Is that all you got you dumb copy?" He taunted. The dark opponent then glowed in a pitch black energy aura and appeared on the ground in front of him, "Pathetic." The foe taunted. Magnexe glowed brighter in his silver aura, "This is the end!" Magnexe slashes into the foe's chest and side kicks him to the face to throw him back. He energized enough power to unleash the killing blow. The darkness sprung up, dashed toward Magnexe quickly toward him, and grabbed his face smirking. "Die boastful one..." A massive blast of dark energy erupted from his hand to engulf Magnexe which was more than enough to stop his winning advantage. Magnexe fell back on to the ground covered in dark energy from that powerful blast and grunted, "How did you hide that power so quick...?" The foe laughed maniacally and then smirked, "You fool. You do not realize what True Darkness holds! Nobody is match for Darkness. I will take this body forever and create the ultimate weapon of mass destruction that will plunge all of existence into Darkness!!" Magnexe shook his head standing up, "No... I won't lose... I can still go! Come here so I can finish you off!!" He yelled out empty threats despite that he was exhausted from his foe's easy victory. The foe grabbed Magnexe by the throat and lifted him off the ground, "You are a talkative one... Perfect to takeover for ruling and conquering worlds as my first plan." Darkness smirked as tentacles of dark energy started to constrict Magnexe's body, "Become consumed by the darkness and accept the evil within!" The tentacles constricted and consumed Magnexe's body inside his conscience as he screamed, "NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" The tentacles encased Magnexe and dissipated to clear away Magnexe's conscience. The Darkness has conquered over Magnexe's mind and taken possession over him. This is when evil starts to take its new beginning.
