Chapter 3
Summers pov

After seeing Charlie at the diner I spent most the night paranoid that he would see me, I think Kyle could tell there was something wrong but I just kept saying I wasn't feeling too good. We headed home after that and just sat on the couch watching TV but I wasn't focused on that, all that kept running through my mind was Charlie why was he here in New York I haven't seen him for 3 years, I move across the country and he still seems to constantly be apart of my life no matter how hard I try to get away

"Hey you okay summer ?? " I turned to see Kyle looking at me eyes no longer on the TV

"Yh fine just not felling to good "

"You sure you seemed fine before we went to get something to ea-"

"Yh I'm fine Kyle actually I'm gonna go bed night " I left the room be for he could ask anymore questions.

I lay on my bed hoping that I wouldn't see Charlie again with tears running down my face until sleep took over.

I woke up the next morning feeling drained which didn't surprise me after yesterday, I walked into the bathroom looking in the mirror my hair was all over the place and my eyes all red and puffy.

I jump in the shower letting the water relax my muscles washing my hair and shaving after about fifteen minutes I get out the shower knowing I won't be going anywhere today I just pull one of my over sized t-shirts on for now, as I'm getting changed I hear the tv going in the other room I walk in to the living room to see Kyle lay asleep on the couch

'guess he fell asleep after I went to bed'

He makes a small shiver as he hugs the pillow closer to himself.

I go back into my room and grab a blanket and drape it over him he instantly relaxes and snuggles into the blanket, I decide to turn the TV and go grab some food for breakfast a small supermarket I saw yesterday when me and Kyle walked back from the diner, I go pull a pair of leggings over my t-shirt an slipping my Uggs before writing a note for Kyle letting him know where ive gone if he wakes up, grabbing my keys making sure Kyle's are still in the pot next to the door I lock the door behind me

When I get to the shop I just grab a basket and wondering round the shop knowing we don't have any mugs in I look down a few aisles before seeing one that had a few pieces of kitchen and dishware.

looking at the mugs they only have one kind in two different colours a blue one saying 'his' and a pink saying 'hers' I grab the mugs knowing there is nothing else before getting the stuff for breakfast. As I turn the corner I see him stud there was my worst nightwear Charlie Brookes stud there looking at some grocery product minding is own business as ne hadn't seen me yet, I stand there motionless staring at him in shock I notice that he has slightly changed since I last saw him his hair is slightly longer now and he has a stubble now, but how could this happen I move halfway across the country to get away from my past and somehow I see him to days on the run, I turn away hoping that he doesn't notice me but luck isn't on my side this time,

"well well if it isn't little Miss Waters" I turn to see Charlie with a smug smile on his face

"Charlie nice to see you again" I say with sarcasm dripping from my voice

"miss me baby cakes? what's it been three years you must have been lonely without me" he says looping his arm my waist bringing me to his chest and whispering the last part in to my ear sending chills down my spine

"no to be honest I never thought of you not even once" I say looking him dead in the eyes and getting out of his grip and walking to the checkout I can hear his footsteps as he follows close behind me

"now sweet cheeks we know that isn't true you must have thought of me at least once"

"oh yh I did think of you once when I was sick because that's how you make me feel"

"hey that a bit rude we don't see each other for three years and this his how you greet me your manners have slipped what happened to sweet little innocent summer that would never insult anyone"

"you happened Charlie you killed that girl a long time ago when you cheated on her with her best friend and that girl is gone now"

"oh really because I think that girl could come back with a little persuasion don't you think" he says as he tries to kiss my neck as I pay for my items

"yes she is never coming back" I pull away be for he can do anything grabbing hold of the shopping and walking out of the shop not looking back

I turn the corner heading to the apartment the same way I came going down a small alley me and Kyle cut trough last night as I'm coming to the end of the ally I'm pinned against the wall my wrists pressed against the wall dropping the shopping on the floor ignoring the pain in my head I look up to see a sneering Charlie staring down at me.

"Don't ignore me summer I know you still love me" he say as if in a knowing tone

"in your dreams I was over that years ago now go back to that whrore that you're cheated on me with or have you thrown her away now??" I spit at him as I try to push him off me but he doesn't budge

"which one honey there as been many"

"don't flatter yourself your just a dirty pig"

"yh but you did loved this pig once"

" yh did as in meaning past tense when I didn't know the really you just the mask that covered the true you" I sneered at him through gritted teeth he had put me through to much pain in my life to try and wince his way back in.

" but I miss you baby cakes" he says as he plants a kiss on my neck

"your eyes" he placed one just next to my eye

"your lips I miss everything about you" he kisses me on the lips but I don't respond he move his hands so one of his hold mine above my head I try to get out of his grip but he is to strong his free hand slowly moves down my body until its at the hem of my leggings

"well guess what I don't miss you !!" i spite back at him.

He slaps me across the face the pain spreading through my cheek then kisses me forcefully as he moves his hands over my body I get my hands free and push him off me with all my might he falls back and I grab by shopping from the floor and run back to the apartment be for he can catch up to me.

I slam the door shut when I get in the apartment and lean against the door waking up Kyle with a startle I slowly slide down the door tears falling from my eyes.

"summer what's wrong?" I see Kyle walking towards me with pure worry on his face as I just sit there my breath becoming shorter as I cry more he pulls me into a hug and I clutch onto his shirt,

"summer please tell me what's wrong" he asked again as he strokes my back gently

"char- char- Charlie" I say between hiccups

"who's Charlie?"

"m-my ex-ex- boyfriend" when I say that he tightens his grip slightly

"what happened?"

"Charlie he- he abu- abused me"

"what do you mean abused" his voice getting sterner

"he- he pinned me against a wall an- and I think he was going to rape me I was so scared kyle" I say braking downing and avoiding his eyes

"WHAT!!! Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did he do anything ? "he said looking me in the eye before I could answer his eyes where already on my red cheek he pulled me into his chest and we sat there as I sobbed in his arms until I soon fell asleep of exhaustion.
