Marcus jumped out of his bed in tangle of sheets and blankets, trying to make it out the door. I merely laughed and he turned and frowned at me, before disappearing out the door. I was different seeing him trying like a wild man to get down to his brothers. Before long, I followed down behind him and into the living room where every body was chatting. I took this time to take a good look at his brothers.

Kacy as I recognized the one who'd spoken to me first, had his brother's tan skin. His hair was a dark brown and was held back in a small pony tail at the nape of him neck. He was of thinner build but still held the same frame base; his eyes reminded me of frosted over blue. Almost icy in a way. the other three looked almost exactly the same as one another save for height differences. Dark brown hair, hazel eyes that were a mixture of brown and blue, and body frames that ranged from thin to toned.

They were all laughing and seeming to have a good time, even Marcus and Miky. But I could see the underlying feeling of not wanting to be near them. I'd have to ask them about that later, I wondered what could of happened to make them not like their own blood.

But then I was proof that Just because you're blood, doesn't mean that you get along.

I stayed back a ways just out of sight, I really didn't like new people and I kept getting this weird feeling around them. I couldn't describe it, I just knew I needed to keep my distance. And I definitely didn't need to be alone with Kacy.

My ears perked up when I heard mention of my name, and I saw Miky motioning to me. "This is Tsula. He's new to the family so go easy on him." "Hey Tsula!" They all piped up at once and introduced themselves one by one. Kacy I already knew, Aiden was the shortest of the four. And then you had the twins, Josh and Rick.

They all seemed nice, but I could see and feel the uneasiness radiating from Miky and Marcus. More so from Marcus. But I didn't understand why, yet another thing I'd have to ask about later.

I stayed upstairs with Marcus when Miky led their brothers downstairs to the bedrooms. It was silent between both of us for a while until I finally broke it. "So why don't you like your brothers?" "Hm?" Marcus looked at me for a moment pondering on how to answer. "It's... Complicated."

I could see that he really didn't feel like talking about it, so I just let the subject fall into the black abyss of forgetfulness. Marcus huffed and I looked over at him and watched as he ran his hand through his hair, brushing it out of his face.

"Look, if you ever feel uncomfortable around them, my brothers, then feel free to come hide out with me. Miky's a little more in tune with them, so she can handle them better, but..." "Thanks." Marcus nodded and looked away a faint flush coating his cheeks; I was grateful I wasn't the only one who didn't feel weird around them. Sure they sounded fun and all, they even acted care free; but at the end of the day, I just didn't want to be near them.

Marcus stood and went to leave for his bedroom, but asked if I wanted to come too. Naturally I said yes; I didn't want to be here when everyone came back up. I followed him up the stairs and down the hall to his room. Marcus went over to the gaming console just below his TV and grabbed two wireless controllers, handing one to me. He put in a disk, turn the television on, and went to sit on his bed. I leaned on the side I was standing beside and waited for him to notice that I was still standing there.

He seemed to feel my eyes watching him, and when he looked over at me, he face palmed. "Sorry I forgot you can't get up here." He gave me a sheepish look before reaching over and offering me his hand. I tossed the controller on the bed and grabbed his hand; I held on tightly as he pulled me up. I looked over at the TV as I reached for the controller; it pulled up a game called Need For Speed, and showed a picture of a car. A racing game.
