"Good morning, it's Morgan here."
"HELLO, stop talking, Ally."
I smiled wickedly at her, and she chuckled back.
"Alright, so today I will be telling you guys about your first, last, and only project or competition of the year."
"WHAT, SO THIS IS GOING TO BE THE ONLY THINGS -- WAIT! So this is our final and first and only test?!?" Juliette was freaking out, like always.
Morgan nodded.
"Chill, Julie, we have two or three pro's here if you count Miss Morgan," I replied.
Juliette loves glaring at me, and I enjoy seeing her glare at me.
"I shall continue, shall I not?"
We all nodded simultaneously.
"Today, more like, this year, instead of 12,000 little projects you do, you will doing one main project. If you fail it, you fail the class," she said it sarcastically.
That was pretty bad sarcasm. And Juliette obviously didn't get it. She seemed terrified.
Katie burst out, "Juliette, you realize that Morgan is being sarcastic right? Listen to the rest, I know she is going to give half of the grade on participation. You'll past either way."
"I wish," I muttered.
"Huh?" Morgan thought I said something, which I did.
"Oh nothing." I replied.
"Ok, anyway, let me get to the point. Stay silent for 5 minutes. You will be competing with different classes. For example, you guys are Class Z right? So, Class Z will form a group. They can form alliances with different classes."
"For example..." Kathleen interrupted.
"For example, Class Z, you guys, can be alliances with Class B and/or Class H and/or Class S, etc. But one condition, both classes, every single person, has to agree to the alliance. Of course, you might not want an alliance, and if you do, you can only be alliances with a maximum of 5 classes."
We nodded.
Katie asked, "So what exactly do we do with alliances?"
"I'll get there. At the end of Term 1, 2, and 3, you will be fighting other groups. The winners of each term will not only get a prize of 100,000 dollars but also be automatically advanced to Advanced Magic next year AND you get a scholarship. It's amazing. You have to win at least one to get this. EACH of you will get this."
My mouth dropped open. 100,000 dollars and a scholarship AND a free ticket to the class. WHAT!! What -- what is this madness?
"Is this a joke?" I asked Morgan.
Juliette started laughing at me for my reaction, as Katie, Kathleen, and Morgan shook their head.
"Hey, it's the same as last year and every year, it's no big deal," Kathleen said.
I was shocked. "OK ya continue, while I take all this information in."
"Well that's it, honey. Now, I shall continue on what you will be doing this month. First of all, you will find your magic power IN DETAIL. We must know about this, so you guys can team up." She glanced at her watch, "OK, guys, you have to go now. Shoo, it's departure time."
We took our books and headed out. I was still shocked about all these information. This was hard to take in when you spent your life without the word magic.
