"It has been to our concern that you two have no magical powers."
"Umm.. Sir, I don't think magic exists in this world," Juliette answered.
"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT? I'm sorry excuse me, but I understand that you're from Realia. BUT only people with magic can be able to disappear in between the trees. I believe our systems have broken, but today we tried again and it did work so..."
"Professor Smith, we have never known anything about magic, and I don't know what happened or anything. But..." Suddenly a thought lit into my mind.
"But what?!? Ally please continue," Juliette asked urgently. She did not want to be expelled.
"Nevermind about that, I shall give you two one -- no let's say two weeks -- to find your magic power. Every magic is different. Ask your roomies, classmates, and teachers about this. They will help you find it," Professor Smith finished.
And with that we were excused and left the room. I was worried and concerned. Juliette and my parents were in a cruise in a vacation for 3 months. That was why we were sent to this boarding school. I MUST find my magical power. I can't afford being expelled.
But it was lunch recess time, and all was forgotten.
"Hey who wants to be team captain?" a voice said as I walked out.
YES! Basketball. I played basketball ever since I was 2!
"Hey, can I play?" I asked as I left Juliette.
"Sure, you can be on Arsin's team."
Yeah, you know what I was thinking. Who the heck was Arsin? Oh, that dude. He looked swaggy much of a jock. Approximately 5 feet. Not tall.
Game started. Tip off. Huh, I got the ball, surprising. I got semi-handles. Who else was on my team? Victor, Dan, and Matt. Other team: Anson, Scott, Stephen, and Adam.
I passed it to Arsin, and apparently, he was the point guard. He stole my position! OK ya that didn't even matter. He drove kicked it to me, and I made a three.
The game went on. That was my first impression on the new boys. Some of them were hecka good at basketball. They all had some leadership. First day was actually pretty fun I thought. But as recess ended, the thought of magic came back to me. Uh oh.
Author's Note:
Haha, yes I do play basketball. I play on the AAU team West Coast Xtreme. FUN FACT: My coach has the same birthday as me.
There you go. No cliffhanger haha.
