Annabeth POV
*flashback* 2010
I woke up to the sound of my sister's alarm blaring in the next room, screaming Roxette's "Listen To Your Heart". My mother stood in my bedroom doorway and pointed to the ceiling, motioning for me to get up. I knew better than to ignore or argue so i sat up and stretched before getting out of bed. I got dressed and packed my bag for school in ten minutes then headed out to the kitchen for breakfast.
When I got there, mum slapped me and said, 'That's for taking so long, now stop being a lazy cow and speed your ass up bitch!'
I started doing my chores and when i was done, mum made me leave the house before i could eat something. Good thing I had money with me then.
