In Harry Potter, the characters mature. They learn new lessons, defeat an evil wizard, really start to understand what is important to them. These characters try hard to achieve what they want.
In Twilight, Bella gets more and more immature. It goes from a normal teenage girl, to trying to kill herself for attention, to only wanting sex, to getting married for the sake of sex and vampirism.
Sure Bella, you really did do great things.
