There is a lot of really intense symbolism and realism in Harry Potter, even though it is all about wizards. JKR wrote certain things to portray a certain other thing (like the dementors and her depression).
Meyer literally just had a dream and wrote about it. There is nothing special about that, no deeper meaning.
