Chapter Three
Rikki’s POV
I get through Tuesday and Wednesday without having an anxiety attack. I’m actually quite surprised. But now it’s Thursday and we open tomorrow. I feel my nerves go insane.
Destiny, who plays a super smart Lawyer named Harriet in the play, is pretty chill. She’s worked on so many shows so she’s rarely nervous.
Destiny and I are walking towards the drama room when I see them.
Dominic and Lindsey. Sucking face.
I turn and run.
Destiny follows me, looking a bit concerned.
“Hey what’s wrong? He’s just a guy!” Destiny asks soothingly.
“I don’t know, Des. I...Think I like him a lot. I may even love him.” I say, the tears now falling.
But whatever my feelings are, I know that it doesn’t matter.
Dominic likes Lindsey.
Dominic’s POV
I walk into the drama room and am attacked. Lindsey grabs me and kisses me. I try to resist but...It feels good to have her pressed up against me. But then I think of Rikki and how I feel when we hug. It feels 10 times better than this. I pull away and see Destiny standing there, open mouthed.
“You’re like the biggest douche ever.” She spits out at me and then runs after someone.
My stomach drops.
I have a feeling Rikki saw everything.
Destiny’s POV
I can’t believe Dominic.
He must be able to tell that Rikki likes him.
Well, he doesn’t deserve her.
But that isn’t going to heal my best friend’s broken heart.
Poor Rikki.
