Rikki’s POV
I refuse to let all this bullshit go to my head. Rehearsals go fabulous.
I pretend that I’m Georgia and Dominic is David.
That way the aching pain in my heart isn’t so strong.
Des and I leave as soon as rehearsals are over.
Because I can’t see Dominic and Lindsey together.
That would break me.
Dominic’s POV
Rikki is surprisingly calm during rehearsal.
Maybe I was wrong.
Maybe she didn’t see Lindsey and I.
That’s all I can hope for.
As Alan and I walk out of the school, I look at him.
“What do you think of Rikki?” I ask.
“She’s pretty cute. In a freshman sort of way. C’mon, Dom, you can’t get a girlfriend now. School is out in two weeks. And you’re going into the military, remember?” Alan says.
“I know... But, I can’t stop thinking about her. Alan, can I tell you something?” I ask and Alan nods.
“I kissed Lindsey today.”
Alan’s eyes grow wide.
“Shit, Dom! I mean, at least go for the girl with brains. Lindsey is an idiot.”
“Well, in my defense, she grabbed me and kissed me. It’s honestly not my fault.”
“But still, Dom. I don’t know what you’re going to do.” Alan said, walking away.
Shit.
Shit.
Shit.
What the hell have I done?
Destiny’s POV
I watch as Alan and Dominic have a tiff in the parking lot.
“Hey, Des?” Rikki asks.
“What?” I respond.
“What do you think of Alan?”
“I think he’s cool. Not really my type.” I reply, feeling myself blush.
“Ooo, you like him.” Rikki says, wiping her tears with a Kleenex.
“Whaaa? Me?” I feign innocence.
“Yes you.” She winks.
Lindsey’s POV
“You two are DEFINITELY going to be a couple!!” Brittany exclaims.
Dominic and Lindsey.
Lindsey and Dominic.
Dominic and Lindsey Mathers.
Mr. and Mrs. Mathers.
Oh yes.
This will be my future. I mean, Dominic obviously likes me.
YAY!
