Hey everyone thanks so much for reading. Enjoy Chapter 4!

"What are you playing at?" Arthur asked. He was sitting in a chair in Tommy's back office. Tommy was behind the desk facing him.

"What do you mean?" Tommy said smoking his cigarette.

"He means what is the deal with this girl." John spoke up. He was standing off to the side holding a glass of alcohol.

They were the only three in the office.

"She's just a girl." Tommy said.

"Oh don't play fool with me, Tommy. You've gone all wuss for her, we all see it." Arthur said standing up.

"l am not a wuss Arthur. Would you like me to prove it?" Tommy said looking up at his brother coolly.

"Tommy, you took her dancing. There's nothing more wuss-like than that." John stated.

"That's because I know how to treat a lady." Tommy said.

"Oh bullshit, Tommy. You already said it yourself, she's not a lady, she's a girl!" Arthur raged.

"Honestly," John added, "I bet you one pound she'd open up just as quickly as any of the other whores around here. It's simple, they all do."

"Yah," Arthur chimed in, "none of 'em can resist the Shelbys." He laughed proudly.

Tommy sat calmly in his seat.

"You're both wrong," he said, "she's different."

"Well you better screw her quick before she finds out who she's messing with. I suppose she won't be too proud of our criminal backgrounds." John says before smiling cheekily.

"You two are both disgusting." Tommy said.

His brothers burst into fits of laughter.

"Suppose Polly heard you talking this crass, eh?" Tommy said then chuckled too.

After it settled, John spoke up again.

"But Tommy honestly, I didn't think you were the 'lady' type."

"What, you're saying I can't be classy?" Tommy asked.

"No, I'm not. You've just never had to be. You can get girls on your own, even if they knew who you were." John said.

"Especially if they knew who you were," Arthur added. "I mean, I've gotten ass just by saying that I'm your brother."

"Alright Arthur, that's enough filth for one conversation." John spoke up.

"Just saying," Arthur said satisfied as he sat back down.

John walked over to Tommy and leaned on his desk. "I'm just saying Tommy, why are you wasting time on this one?" he asked.

"It's a nice change of pace." Tommy said truthfully. "She thinks I'm a simple man, so I can be a simple man when I'm around her."

"Tommy you could never be simple," John said.

"Yah, but I can sure as hell act like it." Tommy said before grinning.

Later in the day Tommy sat alone in his office. He was going over his affairs when Arthur burst through the doors.

"Tommy!" Arthur said.

"You've got to stop that, mate. Its not that serious." Tommy said calmly without looking up from his papers.

"I know I know," Arthur settled, "but its Glasgow, they're stealing again!"

Tommy looked up at his brother cooly. "Sit down, Arthur." Tommy said.

Arthur did.

"Every day this week you've rushed in here screaming about embezzling funds. Then I see the numbers and send you to John so he can check over your work. Each time he checks it, he goes back over our transactions with Glasgow and can find no product missing. Your numbers are wrong, Arthur."

"But-" Arthur was interrupted.

"Glasgow has been a trusted partner of ours for years. Besides, no offense, but I don't trust your math."  Tommy loved his brother but knew he was not the sharpest tack in the box.

Arthur took a deep breath. He looked down and shook his head.

"What?" Tommy asked.

"I didn't want to tell you this but..."

"But what, Arthur? Spit it out." Tommy said.

"That's not my math. That's the girl's math."

"What.. did.. you.. say?" Tommy said precisely while he slowly rose from his chair.

"I was struggling at it and she was really good at it-" Arthur scrambled for words

"Those papers show all of our clients and all of our suppliers. There is more than alcohol on there, Arthur!" Tommy yelled.

"I know-" Arthur interjected.

"There are guns, ammunition, and sources that no one outside of the Shelby family has access to. And now she does. Now she knows it all!" Tommy was furious.

"I'm sorry Tommy. Maybe she didn't understand it-"

"How long have you been showing her these papers?" Tommy asked.

"Only for the past week." Arthur said.

"A week?" Tommy knocked everything off his desk. Then he reached across and roughly grabbed his brother's collar. His eyes were darkened with rage.

"Now, keep your head, Tommy," Arthur warned, seeing the rage build in his brother's eyes.

"Don't you tell me to keep my fucking head! You compromised the family." Thomas roughly pushed Arthur away from him.

Arthur looked down, aware of his grave mistake, "What are you going to do, Tommy?" He asked, looking up after a moment.

"I'm going to clean up your mess." Tommy said. "Get out of my fucking sight."

Nodding, Arthur stood and left the room silently.

Tommy knew he shouldn't let his anger get the best of him. It was just a bad habit. And this situation was infuriating him.

He clenched his fists and then burst from the room.

This girl knew too much.

Hey everyone how was it?? Well, let me know in the comments.

Thanks soo much for reading this, I'm really excited about this story.

*I made some edits to this chapter. Originally, Thomas choked Arthur but upon reviewing some episodes of the show, I decided that that was majorly out of character. Tommy would never attempt to hurt his brother. K, that's all.

Till next time..
