"Where is she? Where the fuck is she?" Tommy stormed through the door.

He had no time for formalities or fucking polite greetings. He came to see his wife.

"Toni? Toni!" He went through the house yelling her name.

Walking through the living room, he saw his brother on the couch.

"John, wake up. Where's Toni?" He nudged his brother awake.

"Good morning brother, I've been shot, and yourself?" John groggily said. He was hungover from his pain medication the previous night.

What he thought to be memories could not be. They were too unbelievable. There was no way he had bared his heart to Toni. No way.

At least that's what he hoped. For everyone's sake.

"Hey, hey, wake up." Tommy snapped his fingers at John's falling eyelids. "Where's Toni?"

"Somewhere in this fucking house, where else?" John said before he rolled back onto his side and went to sleep.

"Toni!" Tommy continued to call through the house. "Toni-"

"Jesus Christ, the whole fucking neighborhood will hear you!" Polly stormed from her kitchen.

"Polly, where is my wife?" He asked.

"She's sleeping. She'll call you when she wants to fuck. That's all you use her for anyway. Now leave so she can rest." Polly snapped.

"Polly, I swear on everything you believe in, if you do not let me see my wife I will shoot someone." His voice was low and dangerous. He was itching to see Toni.

"Fine, Tommy, but keep your voice down." Polly warned. She was not afraid of her nephew's threats of violence. She was Polly Shelby; she was not afraid of a fucking gun.

Honestly, she felt sorry for her nephew. She had never seen him feel this strongly over anyone.

She doubted whether he had ever felt this strongly over anything at all.

Polly led him to her guest room, where Toni was.

"She may be asleep," She said.

Tommy nodded then opened the door.

Toni lay under the covers with her back facing the entrance. Only her hair and shoulder was visible from the blankets she lay under.

She breathed deep, evenly. So peaceful, so calm.

"Toni," he spoke up. Moving closer, he touched her shoulder. "Toni," he said again.

She stirred. Rolling over, she looked up at him and smiled; her chocolate eyes warming his insides.

"Hi Tommy," her voice was fragile yet refreshing.

She carefully sat up and then moved to get out of the bed.

Seeing what she was doing, he spoke up. "No, you need rest." He worriedly said.

"Its fine," she said quietly, reassuring him.
