Chapter 12

"Are you bloody crazy ! " My mom cried

"Mom stop being so dramatic" I mumbled while taking a sip of my tea

"How can you even think of such a thing Renee ?!"

"Roc is not making me happy anymore "

"Oh and another man is ?" My mom asked

" No" I admitted

"Look I know you and Roc are going through some rough times but it doesn't mean you have to break up with him"

I rolled my eyes "I'll just talk to Kat about my problems" I said getting up from the couch and heading over to my room

"oh come on please !!!" Renee whined

"Just go with the girl she has been asking for hours " Prodigy said  sounding annoyed

"Literally"  RayRay mumbled  massaging his temples

" I am not the party person Renee" I said

"So !  you will be with me it will be fun and its only a school dance"  Renee said trying to convince me to go with her

I scrunched up my face and looked over at Prodigy and RayRay " You sure you guys can't make it on Friday ?"

"You already know im heading out of town that day to see my family" Prodigy said

" gotta watch my little brother that day .. the parents are going out" RayRay sighed

I rolled my eyes and I felt Renee shake me lightly " I promise it will be fun "

"Open up Yazmin I know your in there !" I said knocking on her apartment door

A few seconds she opened the door and her face was full of tears and I looked away " Can we please talk ?"

She nodded her head slowly and allowed me to come inside. Once I got in she lead me to her room and we sat on her bed

" Look I am so sorry about what I said before .. I should have never said it and I never meant to hurt your feelings "

"You said I was in the way .. w-what did you mean by that ?"Yazmin asked in a hurt tone

"I had a stressful day and I was fed up with everything , you weren't in the way of anything I just wanted to be alone"

"Then you should have said that .." Yazmin said wiping away her tears

I took Yazmin's hands and sighed " I know your right and I am sorry it will never happen again "

Yazmin gave me a small smile and looked away " You should go "

I smirked at Yazmin " Kicking me out already ?"

"Well I invited Kori over for dinner "

"Hmm you two getting cozy these days"

Yazmin smiled " she's a really cool person and I think were becoming friends"

I kissed Yazmin's forehead "that's good to know .. but let me go before she comes" I pecked Yazmin on the lips and made my way out

  As I drove home I decided I wanted to go to the gym tonight so, I went home but on my gym outfit and drove to the gym. When I got to the gym I was about to lift some weights until I saw Kat on the gym mat doing sit ups

"What you doing here ?" I asked smiling at her

Once she saw me she smile and stood up while moving the strings of hair in her face away "You know I have to stay in shape" She said smiling back

"That makes the two of us" I answered

Kat nodded her head "So um are you ok ? Prodigy told me what happened between you and Yazmin "

I sighed "Yeah im fine we made up not to long ago actually"

" I know the reason why you blew up on her the way you did"

"Oh what did Prod tell you now ?" I asked

Kat shook her head " He didn't tell me anything its from my own observation ... you like Renee"

My eyes popped open "W-what ? no I d-don't"

Kat laughed " You don't have to lie Princeton im not gonna say anything"

I sighed and rolled my eyes "I don't exactly like her but there is something about her that is special" Yeah the fact that she looks exactly like my best friend who passed away !

Kat smirked at me and took a sip of her water " Oh  I know .. "
