Chapter 7~ Grandfather's Comical Skill

Warm light woke me as I saw a figure opening the large black shades that covered the windows. I assumed it was morning as the sun wasn't yet high in the sky and the light wasn't too blinding. The slim hourglass figure who had opened the blinds approached me. "Hello Madame Aria, and a good morning to you." She said when she curtsied to me. I sat up as I looked up to her with a kind smile. "Hello" I spoke cheery as I rubbed my eyes and looked at her. "Madame if you would please get dressed in the attire set in the bath and meet your mother and grandfather down in the foyer. The three of you will be training with your gifts today." She finished as left with a soft curtsey and let me be. I sat within the bed and looked around briefly. Deciding not to have mum and grandpa wait too long.

      Rising from the bed I walked over to an open door to my left. I walked inside as I looked at the matching purple and black bath. There was a black porcelain bowl and a sink that was square and sat on the counter like a salad bowl. A spout like a well pump served as the faucet and a large series of circular mirrors served as the final piece to the vanity. A crystal light that looked like water droplets hung above the sink as I headed to the glass shower stall in the back corner. I turned on the water and let it run for a bit as I undressed. Taking my hair out of its ponytail I stepped into the stall and let the warm water soothe me in a daze. I allowed my hair to become drenched and let the water trickle over me as I cleansed. Rinsing my hair and lathering my body I finished my shower and stepped out. I stopped the water flow and wrapped the towel from around my torso. I then noticed that my clothes were missing from the floor and a new pile was set up on the counter to the vanity. I quickly slipped into the undergarments and the one shoulder ruffled romper. I then reached for the brush set on the counter as I brushed out my hair and relaced it in a loose ponytail.

      Then I stepped back towards the bedroom as I found the lace up sandals I had worn yesterday durring my training session with Di as I headed to the foyer.

      Trailing through the long narrow hall with its dim lighting I entered the foyer. I walked through a set of pillars as I found the same maid who had woke me setting out platters of food around the fire pit on the surrounding counter. As I walked in further the eyes of mum and grandfather fell onto me as mum blushed. Her face seemed to light up everytime I saw her. She had her wavy hair down and wore a short strapless dress with multiple small gold belts at her natural waist. The color was a bright scarlet as I approached her and took a seat on one of the have circle benches. "Morning dear" she said softly as the maid gathered me a plate and assembled an assortement of grapes and delicate meats and cheeses. "Morning mum, grandfather" I said as I noted grandfathers' presence. "Did you sleep well?" mum asked me as I nodded and began to nibble at the grapes oand sliced bleu cheese on my platter. "Very well actually" I said pleasantly as grandfather seemed to approve. "I hope for your sake you are well rested. I wouldn't want to hurt my granddaughter now, would I?" Zeus spoke sarcasm heavyily noted in his voice. I shook my head, "I am well rested but I hope you can keep up with one as red-blooded as I." My voice spoke gingerly as I returned his sarcasm with a bit of comical edge. He glared me for a moment before bursting into laughter. "We're certainly going to be having a good time today. I can already tell as you understand a good sense of humour, my child." I nod my head as we continued our breakfast and the maid brought forth more beverage for our goblets. As I took a sip I noticed a certain tang to the liquid as I wondered what it maybe. I began to think wine as I had learned that it was which kept the gods eternal when grandfather interupted my thoughts. "It is wine my deary but, it will not cause you to be drunk. There is no alchol but, rather the tangy acid of the aged grapes. Which do allow our minds to connect telepathically." He said as I nodded as if to thank him and we finished up our meals.

      Then as we were complete mum and grandfather led me out between another set of pillars as we appeared on a cliff. I looked around and realized that home was within Mount Olympus as I looked out from on top.

       Then I looked around as I noticed that grandfather and mum were no longer present. I turned about as I headed backwards from where I had came from as I entered a large arena. I looked around to realize that I was within the ruins of the acient collecium and my clothes had been covered in golden etched armour. A corset like piece covered my stomach and chest as a large shoulder cap wrap behind my neck. Then my sandals' laces were covered with matching shin guards as I saw a faint shadow of grandfather. I then saw his silhuette coming at me faster as he came running towards me. A bright beam of light came hurling towards me and I flipped backwards in a way to avoid it. Once I stuck my landing I had a surge of energy rush through me as I shot forth my hand and a wave of electricity lashed out like a whip. I saw a smile brush his face and he seemed to kick something into the air as I sent out my hands as to sheild myself. I shuttered with being startled and shut my eyes afraid of what may happen. Things became quiet as I decided to open my eyes and saw grandfather beginning to applause. I wasn't quite sure as to why when I noticed where I was. I now stood on top of one of the tiers that created the walls of the arena in the space of an arched window. The large boulder was no longer present and small pebbles took its place. I smiled at whatever force allowed me to do such as I called out, "Great but, how do I get down?" Grandfather laughed as he called back, "I can't say. JUst follow your instincts." He spoke with a slight laugh to the backround of his advice. Then I kept thinkinking and thinking when I felt a voice inside my head to advise me. It wasn't that of mum not grandfather but, rather myself as I began to realize how I could get down. I walked to the edge of the structure that held me as I jumped off. My heart and head cleared as I listened to my concience and I glided in the air for a moment. Then I shifted myself to a sort of squat as I placed my hands behind my back. I then fell into a plane like landing movement as I met the ground. My knees bent as I sqatted on the ground and stood up. Then I saw mum and Di come within the ring as grandfather and them began approaching again. Mum and Di came forth with sabers as I felt another surge of power run through me. I lashed out an whip of electicity as I used it to deflect their blades. The sparks which came from the contact of the metal and current gave me a certain adrenaline rush as I noticed grandfather beginning his attack. He sent orbs of phycadelic light towards me as I seemed to absorb the energy as I simply caught them as he dished them out. As mum and Di began to ease up I found myself lose the electric whip and come forth with something from a comic book. My hands glean with bright violet light as if they were engulfed in flames. My mind buzzed as grandfather sent forth his own electric lash as I took hold of it and drew him in like he had been lassoed. Pulling him on his feet I took the cord and tied it around his torso. One bound he fell to the ground and simply sat as he observed me take on mum and Di. Mum came forth with small daggers which she never seemed to run out of as she hurled them towards me like darts. I waved my arm accross the air before me as all the blades paused mid-air and fell to the ground as I shot an electric current to her. Pinning her to the back wall of the arena like prey trapped within a spiders' web, she remained there as I turned my attention to Di. Now armed with two sabers I lashed out an orb of energy as it hit her head on. She stumbled back as she tried to escape but rather fell. Her sabers flying against the ground as she became bound in the orb as it trapped her body and forced her to the ground. I then took a moment to catch my breath as I looked around and released my energy which harnessed my elders. Then I requested, "So... How'd I do?" as the three re-grouped with stunned expressions. "Marvoulous, my child. You have listened to your concience well as you used all of your abilities to even binde me. Congradulations." Grandfather said as he was serious in his tone and nodded his head in approval. Mum and Di just applaused as if it was a miracle to have defeated them all. Then as I looked at them when they ended their celebrating I saw mum motion her hand over me as I saw all of the armour vanish from my person. I grinned in thanks as the armour had been heavy to menuver in and I approached them. I flahsed a smile as if I had been incredibly amused as I asked, "Since this took only a better part of the morning, care if I explore things a bit?" I asked calmly as the beginning of my sentiment was covered in blissful sarcasm. Mum nodded as Di, voulenteered herself to be my escort as it was required for me to leave the castle's grounds. I shrugged as I had mildly become use to the same protocall with John in Athenis.
