Aphrodite and I left the presence of mum and papi as we went back to my room briefly. I wanted to escape the clutches of the essential romper style that I was always brought back to. In this world I had learned it as a way to guarantee training was to be done.
I didn't like that as nearly a fraction of the contents of the wardrobe within my closet was rompers. Was that good? No, but at least if I ever got blood on one I wouldn't have to really worry now would I? I laughed slightly at my aimless thoughts as Di looked at my vanity and its contents. I went into the closet and chose what I would wear as everything was girlie, draped and not made of denim or cotton. So I decided to wear a strapless sweetheart maxi styled dress. I liked it because it was one of the few items I saw which were black. Which as far as I am concerned is the most versatile color in the world and replaces white in my eyes. White maybe considered 'pure' and all that sorts but, in my heart and head I believe black is just as good and makes a statement, thus my Camero back on Earth. But I slipped into the dress quickly and threw on a pair of silver flats. Then for accessories I just wore my engagement ring, and the diamond pendant John had given me along with the estate earrings Di handed me as we were heading out of my room.
We seemed to be rushing as I was afraid to have a montage of maids end up in a curtsy fit and made our way out to believe it, a horse drawn carriage. It was gold and silver with delicate etching and fine details. There was a certain Victorian essence as the top had a pagoda like roof and framed windows. There were also fine cast iron floating steps and hardware as we were assisted inside by the help of the driver. He was a short slightly chubby boy. With ginger locks which seemed like a soft orange. His face held small freckles around his nose and the dark brown pigment matched his eyes.
Di and I sat within the carriage on upholstered benches as I decided to converse with her about things around here. "Di, do you mind if I ask you somethings about, here?" I pondered kindly. She shook her head, "Not at all my dear". "You as a royal heir are entitled to the truth." When she finished I felt confused and I suppose my face showed so as well. Di eyed me in a certain way which made me ask, "What do you mean by that, Di?" She takes a shallow breath before responding, "It's law that none can lie to those of your family or to any within the top tier families. Your grandfather stated as he was lied to by...never mind." Her voice trailed off and I shot her a look. "Your mum lied to your grandfather. She told him that you hadn't transitioned when you were thirteen. However you had begun to show signs as your mother had the knowledge as well as had the eye of Hermes on you. She didn't want him to bring you here only to resent all of them and to want to return home or run away and to never grow to enjoy the presence of Mister Jonathan." I nodded my head as that was the exact reason I held in my head. "How did mum know that I was going to run? I mean that was the exact thing that I thought I would do. I don't know much of where anything is here but, still." Di smirked as she then responded, "Because when your mother had to leave you on Earth is was at the orders of Zeus. He believed that you were too much of a distraction as you were meant to be the one who linked the gods to the fairies who lived within Athenis. They had formed such a great trust to your mother but, none of the rest of us. Zeus was afraid that she would take a side with them as she had fallen in love with one of their own. Your father, was a fairy. He was also their kings best friend, Eli. That was the true reason behind the formation of Athenis. It was her gift to him and his people as they had been endangered by mortals." I smiled as I knew how sweet and kind mum was. It was the same sort of reflex I held towards the fairies I had met when John had first taken me to Athenis. "Now what did you want to know about?" Di remarked as she broke me from me lost within my thoughts. "Oh yeah, so where exactly is here?" I spoke as I was confused from seeing the mountains to being in the clouds to palaces, it got confusing. "Atlantis essentially, but we train around Mount Olympus as no one inhabits them or the small parameter as it is sacred. Long time ago Hermes and a few of the lower society started rumours and tall tales that made people believe we lived there. Now it is our small landmine." I laughed slightly as I could imagine the stereotypical little man with winged shoes making up rumors in the ears of humans. "Okay, moving on who knows that I am, what I am? Daughter of Athena, and a fairy?" "Well Jasper and Jane of course. As well as Jonathan, Jana, and all of Athenis." I sighed of relief until something hit me. "Wait, what? Everyone knows? John knows? So its almost as if I and he marrying is a duty, a chore?" I bow my head and set it into my hands as I shake my head. Then I feel Di's hand on my knee as she looks across from me. "Dear he knew as your father told them after you were born. The king and queen then 'cursed' Jonathan as apart of the plan between them and your mum. That is also why you two had been placed into humanity. You made sure that you two ended out together, you used your gifts even though they had little effect when you two were so young. He loves you truthfully. That is why he planned out how to tell you about him and the engagement. To give you a dream day of high school. Everything." I felt my cheeks grow warm as I blushed. "I have been very foolish of all of this." I spoke softly as Di just payed attention and patted a hand on my leg. "Its all right Aria. Nothing a little quality time with me shopping can't fix."
She smiled as I noticed that the carriage had stopped and the clatter of hoofs had stopped. A blond male who was little smaller than medium built opened the door. "Ladies, we've arrived in the square" he said kindly as he reached in his hand. I allowed Di to go first as I looked around briefly. There was a large fountain we had stopped by as I caught sight of the small gazes we were getting from the people around. Then I took the male escorts hand as he helped me down from the carriage. I stepped down and looked around as I saw that there were some bowing at me. Feeling uncomfortable I held my hand out. Palm-side out they stopped there as I spoke, "Please continue your activity. No attention to we as we wish to enjoy the square.'" I spoke aloud as I saw them nod and carry on. Then I heard the door of the carriage close as the blond male handed Di and I two white lace parasols. Mine had layered, ruffles of lace. Di's had a white fringe trim which swayed when she opened it. I mocked her as I then noticed two arms come out from behind us. They took our umbrellas as I noticed who it was. Two shaggy brunette haired men with sculpted bodies. They wore white cottons clothes resembling much simpler Indian clothes. The one who held my parasol had light brown eyes while the other deep hazel. He flashed a smile as Di and I began to walk. I assumed these were maids or such as Di informed me. "Oh, I'm sorry I had nearly forgotten. This is Ian and Paul. They are our personal guards. Mine being Paul and your Ian, as long as you're in Atlantis you will being followed around. Besides when you're in the palace but, once you enter the grounds or gardens he'll be shortly behind. After some time you'll get use to things." She smiled and Ian bowed slightly as we began to walk within the square. This was certainly going to be interesting as Di was both gorgeous and stylish.
