I leave Arnim in the room as myself and Jenna try to get Eli to the medical room.

He groans in pain as we move him, and eventually we can't carry him anymore.

He's not heavy, not by any stretch of the imagination, but I feel like we will hurt Eli more by moving him.

"I shall go get help." Jenna proclaims and races down the hall.

Eli reaches for my hand.

"I think I'm dying." He whispers.

"Don't exaggerate." I reply.

Two people pushing a rolling bed run down the hall with Jenna.

They quickly put him on the bed and start moving back down the way they came.

"Please...Jenna? Eldrid?" Eli reaches out and Jenna and I follow the doctors down the corridor. "We're here, Eli." Jenna assures.

They push him into a room and a doctor stops us.

"You have to stay out here." He says and closes the door.

We watch through the large glass window as they inspect Eli with speed.

"Broken rib, punctured lung." One says.

"His lung is collapsing, I need a chest tube." Another calls out.

Jenna suddenly grabs my hand tightly, and I look at her face.

Now friend, I wish you could see her face right now.

If anyone ever tried to argue that Jenna didn't have feelings, I would show them a picture of this face.

She looks scared, worried, guilty, sad, and angry all at the same time.

"It's ok." I squeeze her hand back. "He'll be fine."

"No, no." Her eyes meet mine, brown against brown. "They're using a chest tube."

"What's that?"

"When someone collapses a lung, as an emergency they cut a hole in your chest and stick a tube through; to relieve the pressure before doing surgery."

I believe it's me who's grasping her hand now.

"And they don't use anesthetics." She adds upon looking back at her brother.

In the room I see them doing exactly as Jenna explained.

The doctors hold Eli down as he screeches on pain.

They use a scalpel to cut a hole in the side of his chest and then they shove a tube inside.

Eli struggles and cries out, then suddenly stops.

He fainted.

Jenna breathed a breath of relief, and lets go of my hand.

"He'll be ok, I'm sure, Jenna." I put a hand in her arm.

Nodding, she leaves the room with me.
