Unexpected (An Ed Sheeran fanfic)

Chapter 8

*Ed's POV*

After Mia left, I saw Niall walk slowly after her, just far enough behind so that she wouldn't notice. "I wonder where Niall's going!" I said.

"I know where he's going!" Zayn said. I turned to him expectantly and waited for him to tell me. "Well, he told me that he really liked Mia so he went to go ask her out!" I felt a pang of jealousy hit me but I ignored it.

"This is bad!" I said. Everyone looked at me, completely confused. "Mia is the most shy and bashful girl on the planet and she probably won't say yes!" I exclaimed. I ran to the elevator and when it opened, Niall was inside, his face in his hands.

"She said no!" He whispered. I walked next to him and put my arm over his shoulder.

"It's alright bro! She's just really shy!" I said, and squeezed his shoulder. Niall gave me a weak smile and walked out of the elevator. I pushed Mia's floor button and tapped my foot on the floor until the doors opened again.

As soon as I found Mia's door, I opened it without knocking, finding it unlocked! I looked around for a moment until I saw Mia, curled up on a chair. I walked to her and say down on the floor in front of her.

"I said no!" She whispered, reminding me of how Niall said a similar thing to me in the elevator. I nodded and took her hand in mine.

"Why are you so upset then?" I was totally confused at the whole situation.

"I panicked!" She said quietly. I squeezed her hand and used my other hand to pull her chin up so she was looking right at me.

"You should know that Niall would never hurt you! He just wants to let you know how he feels!"

"But I'm just not ready! You know what I mean? I just got so freaked out I even slammed the door in his face!" I nodded and helped Mia up out of the chair.

I wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin on her head. She felt so right in my arms. I shook off the thought and slowly rubbed her back to soothe her.

"How about we go to my room and watch some movies?" She looked up and smiled weakly. She nodded and looked down at what she was wearing.

"I'm still wearing my bathing suit! Let me change first!" She said as she gathered clothes from her suitcase. She ran into the bathroom and I say down on her bed to wait.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, Mia came out of the bathroom wearing grey sweatpants that said "I Need Coffee" on them! Her shirt was a white crop top with a magenta tank top under it. She was also wearing aqua vans.

"Alright! Let's go!" She said cheerfully. At least she was in a good mood now! We linked arms as we exited her room and skipped to the elevator. As we were riding down, I noticed that her crop top had the words to A-Team on it! It said:

The worst things in life come free to us.

And next to the words was a little sketch of me with no face. I looked over to her and smiled.

"I like your shirt!" She looked down and blushed, realizing what she had put on. "I think you're more of a fan then you let on!" I laughed.

Still blushing, she replied. "Yeah, I was in love with your music! It just kept me going through the hard times of moving all the time!" She said and blushed again. I hugged her and smiled again.

"I like to think that I helped you to rough times! Because you helped me through some too!" I said. She smiled into my neck and I shivered. She made me feel so at home!

After the elevator doors opened, we ran down the hall to my room. I unlocked the door and swung it open. After a minute of getting snacks, pillows, and blankets, we sat down next to each other on the floor. I had the remote in my hand ready to look through the movies.
