1 week later:
Vivian’s POV
The pain in my head increased as the sunlight entered my room. I rushed to the shadows of my walk in closet. I knew my end was near; I could feel it in my bones. I collapsed on the floor of my closet and withered in pain.
“I see that the pain has intensified quite a bit.” Zackary observed from above me in the attic. He jumped down from the pull-down door on the ceiling.
“How do you get rid of the pain Zack?” I moaned.
“You embrace the pain. Your body is fighting against the ‘infection’ this is causing you pain because the ‘disease’ is changing your human cells. If you accept it the possess will be quicker and the pain will be minimal. So accept it Vivian.” He explained. The way he spoke was with so much wisdom yet he looked no a day older than 20 years old.
“How do you know this?” I croaked.
“I know because I went through the same thing once. I’ve also helped a few through it as well.” He explained. With that I embrace the pain with open arms like an old friend. The pain was finally gone but something inside me changed. It felt like I could do anything be anyone, in a word I felt reborn. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of my old life. I finally understood what Zackary had meant when he said I couldn’t go back to my old life.
“What just happened to me Zack?” I asked as I looked into his deep red eyes.
“You made the transition Vivian. You’re a vampire now.” He said as he wrapped his arms around me. Sparks shot up from my waist my body was instantly attracted to him. I quickly broke away from Zack. I looked into his heart broken eyes and watch as he frowned.
“What was that Zackary?” I asked. He gave me a pleading look, as if he was begging me not to ask that right now. “You better explain Zack or I will walk into the sun.” As I said that he moved forward. I took a step toward the sunlight.
“Don’t do that I’m begging you!” he said as he reached out for me.
“Then answer my question Zackary. Now what was that I felt? What was that spark?” I asked as I inched closer to the sun.
“Your my other half.” He nearly shouted in desperation.
“What is that exactly?” I asked.
“There have been many names for it. One of the most known is soul mate. Vivian you’re my Soul Mate.” He said sadly as he watched my jaw trop. Without even realizing it I had stepped into the sunlight of my room.
“Vivian!” Zack yelled. His eyes widened in horror. I looked down and noticed that nothing was burning. There was no smell of roasting flesh. Not even a sizzling sound. His eyes were a mix of relief and confusing.
“Vivian! What’s that noise?” my mother called from my bedroom door.
“Ya everything’s fine mom.” I yelled.
“Who’s that with you in your room? I thought I heard another voice?”
“You’re hearing things mother there is no one in here.” I shouted as I motioned for Zack to go back in the attic. He nodded and as quietly as he could he went back into the attic. My Mother busted through the door anyway to check and see if I was lying. I let her do her search of my room. When she turned to look at me she gasped.
“What is it mom?” I asked with concern. She backed away from me.
“What happened to you?” she whispered. I ran to my in suite bathroom and nearly screamed. My eyes were light silver almost white. My skin was deathly pale. My hair was no longer a dirty blonde it was full on almost white blonde. My body was like sculpted perfection. My breast were enlarged, my ass was slightly larger; even my legs were longer. My teeth were perfectly straight and my k-9’s protruding out as if they were ready to kill. Now I know why my mother was a wreck. I ran back to her and looked her straight it the eyes.
