Zackary’s POV

We dodged the trees as we moved at the speed of light toward the next state like. The hunters would have a hard time trying to follow us. I waved at Vivian as I speed ahead and crossed the state line. I began to decelerate and began to catch my breath. Vivian followed my lead and began to slow down and catch her breath.  

“So Vi how does it feel like to lose?” I asked. She gave me a death glare and stuck her middle finger at me. I laughed.

“How much longer until we reached our destination?” she asked.

“The kingdom’s not easy to find; unless you know exactly where it is. Which I do, and it’s not far from where we are, but we must go through a labyrinth to get there.” I explained. She nodded in understanding.

“And how will we get past the labyrinth?” she asked.

“Only the wise may make it through.” I explained.

“Well then it’s a good thing I’m smart.” She remarked.

“Hey I got years of wisdom ahead of you, little child.” I joked.

“You win this round old man.” She laughed.

“Hey who are you calling old?” I asked jokingly. She just laughed.

“So what kingdom are you taking me?” she asked.

“The Dragon kingdom; beside werewolves have packs, witches have covens, and vampires have clans. Dragons are one of the only known creatures to have kingdoms.” I explained. She nodded.

“So are we going?” she asked.

“Ya but I needed to say something before we go.” I said.

“Ok out with it Zackary.”

“Your mother was the princess of the dragons. That makes you royalty Vivian.” I explain.

“So why is my mother out of the kingdom?”

“Her Lover was the hunter, your father. She fell madly in love with him and him with her. She knew that the council would never approve so she fled the kingdom in order to be with her lover.” I answered.

“But my father is a hunter wouldn’t he have killed her?”

“He never knew what she was. All he knew was that he felt a pull toward your mother. That’s all he ever knew.”

“So does the council know about them?”

“No all they know is that she disappeared. They don’t know what happened to her.”

“So you’re telling me you don’t know what to expect once we reach the Dragon Kingdom?” she asked. I nodded. “How will they know I’m Royalty?”

“Don’t take this as an insult but Vivian you reek of power. And there is the royal emblem tattooed on your right shoulder blade.” I explained with a smile.

“No way what?” she asked as she tried to turn her head to try and her tattoo.

“Don’t worry about it right now. It will appear on your first turn.”

“What I’m going to turn?”

“Yes you are going to turn into a dragon. And the tattoo will appear.”

“Ok well this day keeps getting weirder and weirder.” She accepted.

“Ya just wait until we get to the labyrinth. You would probably think that, the information you just heard was normal.” I muttered as I started to walk into the woods and toward the cliff.
