Like an angel sent from above, there was my savior, Chase! God I’ve never been happier to see his face. “Chase!” I yelled, he looked at me in shock. “Help?!?” Grabbing his jacket sleeves I turned him to face Jack, “Go get em tiger!” I told him, before shoving him into my pursuer. Go meat shield go! Turning another corner I knew where I was going now, Chase would more than likely be extremely mad with me, but I’m willing to risk it. Making it back to my room, I grinned slamming the door. Resting on my door, I keeled over. Okay so things I’ve learned today. One I’ve got a new stone cold muscle headed jerk off, two Mrs. Lenon is just as much as a bitch as before, three my meat shield is more than likely pissed at me and four I’m really hungry. Getting off the floor, I propped open my door. And died a little in the inside, both of them at my doorway, Chase with his key card in hand, Jack looking like a rock. Trying to smile and look innocent, I knew this wouldn’t work.

“Yeah you’re in trouble” Chase said, as I summersaulted away. He pushed open my door, and stood there with his arms crossed. “Why?” He asked my giving the Chase-is-not-pleased-look. As my ears flattened back on my head, I played with the hem of my shirt. “I did nothing wrong for the record.” I added looking up at him, “Not my fault I don’t wanna be around, ick him” I gestured to Jack, and rubbing my ears, “Besides look at him, he’s all boring! And he’s Lenon’s pet kitty cat!” Something flashed in Jack’s eyes. I smirked at him of course he doesn’t like being called that. “I don’t care what his orders are I don’t want anything to do with him” Chase knelt down and pulled my ear.

“Listen Ai what if he comes in handy?” He whispered, I stuck my tongue out at that thought. “He’s Lenon’s pet, I don’t trust him for nothing. And he just so happens to show up in the sixteen years I’ve been here I’ve never seen him? It’s sketchy Chase!” I hissed. Chase again, gave me that look. The look of give him a chance, also this discussion is over. I sat cross legged in the corner, pouting as Chase sat with Jack at the small table; the director had let me have. Pulling at book from under my bed I scooted back into my corner. The two didn’t notice me good. After flipping through pages and nothing happening I sighed I crawled on my belly to the door, flicking my tail back and forth I pulled it ajar. Good thing it didn’t creek. Glancing back at them, I crawled out into the hall. I got up and walked as calmly as possible to see Dylan. Who I hope isn’t asleep, passing more mutants who were lingering in the halls I couldn’t help but feel that this was a little lighter than normal. Not everyone’s under lock and key, I didn’t even notice that our doors aren’t locked. After sneaking around different carts and corners, I came to Dylan’s room. After knocking several times, I threw open the door. Of course the room was dark of course he’s asleep. The misty shadows raced to my feet, and climbed up my legs “Hey” I smiled. I knew it wasn’t alive it just felt like it had a mind. Crossing the room, to the mass laying on what I’m guessing in is his bed.

Slinking through the misty shadows, like a bug, I peered over the edge of the bed at him. How can he be sleeping now? Dylan’s head stuck out from the pile over blankets, poking his cheek I ducked down. Nothing, peering back over the edge I hissed quietly and waited. He didn’t stir, was he dead? “Dylan” I called softly, poking him again. He groaned and swatted my hand away, “Go away”

“Come on wake uppp~” I played with his eyelashes till he swatted at me again. “Come on I got to show you something!” Standing up, I jumped onto his bed and pulled his blankets off. My response was a middle finger and more groaning, he pulled a pillow to his chest. And that’s when I saw he was almost completely nude. Sure I could have taken some time to look at that bit of hotness, but that’s not why I’m here now is it. I grabbed one of his arms, and pulled him upright. Bouncing around him, I sat back to back with him. Making sure there would be no laying back down, “Let’s go you’ve been asleep all day!” Moving so that I could lean over his shoulder I poked at his cheeks again. Yeah I know this is more than likely not the best wake up ever but it better than the normal ‘Good Morning –insert mutants name here-)’ Dylan rubbed his eye’s still mumbling about setting me on fire. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I rubbed my cheek on his “Come on! Set me on fire later!”

“No, go away. Sleep”

Grinning like the devil cat I know I am, I decided this was the only option. There would be no going back, I licked him. No not just, meh ew you taste bad this was chin to lower eye lid. Drool and all, a shiver went through him then. Goosebumps turned up on his arms, as I smiled “You taste good!” Probably not the thing you should say to your best friend but oh well. Dylan wiped his cheek while telling me I had problems, soon after mist enwrapped me and lifted me off the bed. Dylan stood up as I was placed near the door still sitting on the mist. “I swear, if you woke me up for nothing you will be dying soon” He glared at me; I smiled “No way, you know you love me!” He opened his mouth to retort but instead shook his head and went to his closet. I watched as he pulled on white pants, and a white hooded sweat shirt. He looked at me before opening the door and shooing the mist cloud that carried me on it out. Waving my tail around eagerly, Dylan ushered the mist back down the hall to my room.

“So what is it that couldn’t wait till later?” He asked still yawning; I looked over the edge of my perched before answering “You aren’t going to drop me are you?” He glared at me again, “Right, right. Sorry, Lenon she’s got a new pet. You won’t believe it” and with an annoyed sigh Dylan flicked his wrist, and the shadow cloud moved along. I win! Standing in my door way Dylan looked at Jack in disbelieve. I wiggled under his arm and watched as Jack’s nose wrinkled up, “Who the hell are you?” He asked, as Chase looked at me. Dylan’s eyes darkened as he retorted “Her friend, who the fuck are you” Tension crackled in the room, as no one said anything. Dylan looked down at me; I snorted “I told you.” I told him again. Looking sternly at Jack, then to Chase who looked, annoyed I sighed.

“If you want to hang around fine! But I swear to god if Lenon is using you to spy I will not only rip your tail off, I will stuff it down your throat. Got it!” I told Jack still glaring; he didn’t say anything but his jaw twitched “And Dylan comes with the package. You don’t get along with him you go bye, bye!” Jack gave me a nod, I watched as something flashed across his eyes. I knew that look all to well. At times being half animal isn’t good thing. Instincts take over, right now if I’m guessing right. Jack’s feeling threatened by Dylan, this is a big no. no. “JACK!” I yelled, instantaneously his ears dropped. Dylan gave me a questioning look as I wiggled out from under his arm, and grabbed Jack’s left ear. Pulling him down so he was looking me in the face my lips curled to reveal a pair of pointed canine teeth.

“I know what you’re thinking first of all, don’t even.” For being Lenon’s pet, he doesn’t have very good people skills. Watching Jacks eyes, they didn’t give another look to Dylan. Knowing this time I’d won, I let him go and told Chase I was hungry. He got up and clapped a hand on Jacks shoulder, telling him to come on. Of course he nodded, and the two walked out, Dylan followed and I waited hanging back to look around one more time before shutting my door. Why can’t things be more, easy? I mean really, this is all too sketchy. Jack just happens to be here all this time without me knowing? Or even catching a trace of his scent? And why now, of all times you’d thing the scientists would see that clearly I’ve got some type of issue seeing that I just chucked a chair at them. For being able to throw together a cat kid, these scientists’ are extremely stupid.
