Her brother picked up almost immediately.
"Lana?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you hear about Mom?"
"N-No? What happened?"
"The doctors are still trying to figure that out. They think it was a Heroine overdose."
"Sh-She wouldn't do that."
"She left a letter for you."
"Did she leave one for you?"
"No."
"Oh."
"But that's fine. I just want to know why she left a letter for you and not one for me."
"M-Maybe it was the phone call."
"What phone call?"
"O-One of my friends was here and she called. She was drunk and told me I needed to come home, long story short, she thought I hated her for doing what she did to dad, which wouldn't be an entire lie but I still love her in a way."
"So you think it was that?"
"Yeah. I'm pretty sure."
"Well either way, I don't want you staying alone. I called the school and they said you can stay with whoever you want for as long as you need."
"O-okay."
They exchanged goodbyes and Lana hung up. Panicked, she threw as many clothes as she could into her bag and then got her school bag and called Nash.
"Hello?"
"Nash?"
"Yeah?"
"I need somewhere to stay. My brother doesn't want me alone."
"And...."
"My mom killed herself and since your the only one that knows, I'd like to stay with you. Of course I don't have to if that would--"
"Lana. It's fine. Come over anytime you want. 248."
"I'm on my way."
Lana hung up and quickly went to Nash's dorm. When she got there, she knocked then walked in. Jack and Jack were arguing over something and Nash was on the couch, on his phone.
"Lana." Nash stood up and gave the small girl a hug. Her frail body made Nash look like a giant. That hug was all it took for Lana's eyes to water up, and tears to fall.
Sorry it's short but I've been working on Afire love and tbh I forgot ab this one pretty much all this week so yeah. I hope you liked it and although I'm adding in a bunch of variables, Nash and Lana still aren't dating. So yeah, Love y'all and I'll see you next week with another update.
Don't be silent- comment, vote and enjoy!!
