Lana and Nash stood holding each other for a while. Nash held her tight as she cried into his shoulder. Lana held Nash for protection from all of her worst fears in life.
"I don't have any parents left." She sobbed into his shoulder.
"I know." Nash didn't sugar coat it, Lana was strong and she could get through this with a rock to keep her from blowing away.
She pulled away from the hug and looked at Nash. "I don't know what to do." She whispered.
"I don't know what to say to make you feel better but I know that you can make it out alive if you try and live for your brother."
Lana nodded slowly and covered her face with her hands. She then fell into Nash's chest. He held her again and rested his chin on her head.
Lana's tears fell down her face and so did the mascara.
-
There was a bang, the slamming of a door as it closed. Lana's head jumped from Nash's chest and saw the Jacks. She placed her head back to where it was and closed her eyes.
"Yo, Nash? What's she doing here?"
"She's in need of a place to stay. She can't stay alone right now."
"Okay, why's that?"
"Her mom killed herself okay?"
"Doesn't she still have a father?"
Lana's tears started falling and her body shook rapidly, Nash looked down at the shaking girl and then back to the boys.
"She can tell you when she's ready."
"So she has to stay here and we have to listen to her crying all night?"
"You guys stay up all night anyways, just use headphones."
"Fine." Johnson finally sighed. "But."
"There's always a but."
"She can't sleep in my bed."
"That's fine."
"Good."
Lana continued to cry silently into Nash's chest whilst he scrolled through Instagram and played some random songs to help cheer her up.
-
Lana ended up falling asleep on the couch with Nash, so Nash moved to a laying position and laid Lana over himself and let his own eyes fall asleep.
"You gotta admit, they are cute together." Was the last thing Nash heard before he himself fell asleep.
