~RING RING~

"Hello?"

"Alex! We need you're help to go follow Julie! It's really important!" "Why are you following Julie Aaron?!" "It doesn't matter! We're coming in 10 mins, be ready!" ~BEEP~

"We?! What the hell is he talking about?" I walk back towards my room to get ready for whatever Aaron had prepared for me.

~10 Minutes later~

"Alex! Your friends are here!" My dad calls out. "Okay! I'm going out!" "Be safe sweetie!" I close the door behind me and glance at Aaron. He's standing in front of my house with my brother, Anne, and two other guys that seem familiar but I don't remember their names. One is tall with dark black hair and brown eyes while the other has bright orange hair and light brown eyes.

"Finally!" Aaron says with an eye roll. I narrow my eyes, "What do you mean finally? And can someone please explain why we are going to follow Julie?!" One of the boys cleared his throat. "I may have an answer for that..." "I'm sorry. Who are you again?" His eyes widen in surprise as he slaps his forehead. "Whoops. I'm sorry. My name is Tim and this is Peter." He points towards the kid with black hair. Peter waves at me with a big smile. "So Tim, tell me....why is my idiot friend taking me to spy on my other friend?"

"Well...Julie and our friend Kai are out on their first date tonight..." I turn towards Aaron. "Are you kidding me Aaron?!" "What?! We have to make sure he doesn't hurt Julie!" "Same for us! Kai, Peter and I have been friends ever since I can remember and we don't want some girl ruining our friendship!" Tim says.

"There is nothing you can do to stop us Alex, we're going!" Aaron grabs my arm and drags me to his Dad's car. "Hi guys what's up?" Mr. Griffin asks. We all mumble a 'fine' before Aaron shouts at his dad to step on it. 5 minutes later we're at the mall and following Julie and Kai.

"Anne, Nick how did you two get involved with this?" Anne shrugs her shoulders. "I'm always up for watching idiots make fools of themselves." She says calmly. Peter ad Tim hide behind some plants and Aaron comes back to us. "I give up. Those two are way more into this than I could ever be." "What?!" Anne gasps "Someone who's finally dorkier than you?! I thought I'd never live to see the day!"

Nick and I stifle our giggles as Aaron turns red and goes into the bookstore.

Meanwhile with Tim and Peter...

"This is a disaster Peter. A disaster I tell ya!"

"You mean because they finally found each other like two soulmates joined across the years by the bounds of true love?"

Tim places his arm on Peter's shoulder. "Sweet innocent little Peter. She's gonna put a stake right through the heart of our Hakuna Matata!"

"Excuse me are you two quoting Lion King?" Anne asks them but they ignore her.

"Oh, then I guess we oughta do something."

"And I know just what it is! Peter! We can't let them feel the love tonight!" "I was right they are quoting Lion King!" Tim whispers into Peter's ear and once he finishes, Peter nods his head, they high five, and set off to follow Julie and Kai who are on their way to Starbucks, with Nick, Anne, Aaron and I following behind.

Tim takes a straw from the counter as Kai and Julie sit down. He puts a small piece of wood and shoots it at Julie. Julie exclaims as the wood hits her hand. Kai picks her hand up and takes the piece of wood in his hand and flicks it towards Tim. Tim tries to constrain his scream, while Anne and I laugh. Meanwhile, Julie gives Kai a kiss on the cheek and they both blush a dark red.

Tim and Peter try another strategy when Kai and Julie leave the mall to go to the park. Peter and Tim sit in a tree while Tim lets a spider go. The spider makes it half-way before stopping at a nearby web and starts to make a web with a lady spider. Tim groans and smacks his face as Peter says "That's so romantic!"

They also try using a beehive from who knows where and tried throwing it at them, but instead were chased by the bees. Their last a final plot to spoil the evening was to trip Julie as she is walking backwards, on a hill, with Kai walking behind her and smiling at her sweetly. Julie does mange to trip and fall but pulls Kai along with her and they stumble down the hill they had been walking on top of. Kai ends up on top of Julie and they laugh and hug each other while Tim sighs in frustration while watching the two. "Well that worked like a dream." Peter looks confused as he asks "It did?" 

Tim sighs "Sarcasm is a foreign language to you isn't it? Look!" He points to the couple and says "She's making those eyes!" "And he's smiling that smile." "They're laughing...and hugging." Tim's voice starts to waver as does Peter's. Tim begins to sing, "And...and if he falls in love tonight, it can be assumed..." He hugs Peter as Peter looks on and sings, "He's carefree days with us are history." They both sing "In short our pal is dooommmmeeddd!" And then the tears start rolling in, Aaron and Nick both stand next to the crying duo and help them stand up. They take them to the car where Mr. Griffin was waiting and we took them home. We then dropped off Anne, and finally Mr. Griffin dropped us off at our house. 

Nick and I enter the house and tell our dad about the strange duo and what they had done. Once my dad had finished laughing, he told us to go to bed. We both climb up the stairs and go into our respective rooms. I changed my clothes and fell asleep, the days events replay in my mind and I fall into a dreamless sleep.
