39. Eddie's Big Step Part 2

Loren POV , 6:30pm

"My two princesses are you ready?" Eddie knocks on my bedroom door

"Yes Eddie , come in" Briella smiles and walks over to the door

"Oh look at you little darling"

"How do I look Eddie?"

"You like beautiful Briella" He smiles at her and kisses her forehead

"& you , my beautiful girlfriend, you look stunning" He pecks my lips

"Oh , do I?"

"Yes , you look amazing" He smiles and takes out a small rectangular box and hands it to me

"Eddie?" I take the box

"It's for you , just open it , I hope you like it"

I open it and it was a diamond necklace

"No Eddie , oh my God. It's beautiful" I say taking it out the box

"You like it?" He asks

"Yes I love it , thank you" I hug him and give it to him so he could put it on me

"Awww you guys are cute , relationship goals" Briella says with a cheesy smile

"Oh God" I laugh

"Well thank you Briella"

"Are we ready to go?" I ask

"Yes , we were just waiting for you , since you always take like 5 hours just to-"

"Okay okay , Briella I get it" I say cutting her off and walking out the room

I walk downstairs and Eddie and Briella were still upstairs , I walked to the kitchen to get some water and they were still upstairs.

"What are you guys doing up there? Can we go or what?"

"We're coming Loren , chill girl" Briella smirks

"First of all , do not tell me to chill when you were complaining about me taking a long time to get ready" I smile at her and hit her shoulder lightly

"Okay ladies , let's go" Eddie grabs his car keys and opens the door for us to head out

Briella walks past me and turns around "You look very beautiful" I say thank you and she keeps walking out

"After you" Eddie says as I make my way out

"Such a gentleman" I laugh and he smiles

"So where are we going?" Eddie asks

"Lucques"

"What is that?" Briella asks

"A restaurant, it's in West Hollywood. Want me to GPS it?"

"Yes please"

"Alright , here you go" I say putting it into his GPS

"Thank you" He kisses my cheek

I felt sad , I had kissed Blake and here was Eddie buying me gifts. I loved Blake but that didn't mean I didn't love Eddie , Eddie picked me up when Blake let me down , why should I treat him like this? I didn't know what to do until I remembered a conversation with my grandmother..

Flashback

"Sweetheart , do you know what love is?"

"Mama I'm only 13 years old"

"But boys do talk to you even if you don't want them to huh?" She smiled

"Yes a lot , they always tell me I'm pretty Mama , I don't like it"

"Well honey , it's a compliment" She laughs

"Hm , Mama do you and Papa J love each other a lot ?"

"Yes , we do"

"You guys seem to never argue , you guys are always happy"

"Because we are baby , let me tell you something. Me and Papa J were in love at a young age , I was 23 and he was 27. He had girls all over him and I stayed with him, why? Because even though there were girls always around him he would always come home to me"

I stayed quiet and she continued

"Love hurts , and well your Papa J did something that hurt me a lot"

"Oh no , Mama what did he do?" I covered my mouth

"Let's just say he gave his attention to another woman and he left me for her"

"But you and Papa J are together now?"

"I'll get to that in a minute , I married another man and I was truly happy , guess who that is now?"

"I don't know Mama?"

"Steven"

"Your best friend!"

"Yes , Steven and I got married and we were the happiest on earth. Papa J wasn't doing so well , he wasn't doing his best at work and he unfortunately got caught in some trouble. Sweetheart if you ever have problems with love , just think about this, if a man tries to make you the happiest woman on earth then he's the one but in my case , there was two"

"Oh no"

"Papa J came back to look for me and apologized once he found me , Steven was still my husband and I was confused, I loved both of them"

"How'd you love both of them Mama?"

"I don't know honey , it's unexplainable, I loved Steven because he helped me when I was at a bad state and Papa J because he was the first man I fell in love with"

"So Steven was the man who picked you up when Papa J let you down , but you loved both of them , you married Steven and you were truly happy but Papa J came back and you let him in because-"

"It was meant to be. Papa J didn't even try , I didn't try but we just got back together and since then,  we still are"

"But Steven?"

"Steven had to leave , he was in the Army. He and I agreed on divorcing each other because he didn't want me to be hurting and I understood that. So I wasn't hurt I was happy for him"

"Mama this is all confusing , I don't want to experience love"

"Sweetie , haha you will"

"Hey we're here , you ready?" Eddie ask putting his hand on my knee

"Yes" I smile and kiss him on the lips
