Chapter Five: Wicked Games

When I wake up, I see Harry standing. "hey CJ, why you up so early?" he said "I could ask you the same." I say. "well I was waiting for Zayn to wake up so he and I could, well you know, but since you're up we can't you ass." he jokes. "Well maybe you me Liam and Zayn could have a little... get together. You know." I say seductively. "Damn you Candor are kinky." we both laugh loudly. I got dressed and headed down to the rings. When I got there Taylor was there getting stuff ready, "hey, you're up early." she says. "Yeah, I'm used to waking up early." I tell her. "CJ, be strong today, Becca is going to put you and Liam against each other. She just told me. Be careful and attack the throat first." She tells me. I'll be fighting my boyfriend in one on one. Is she trying to get me hurt or something? Does she know that we're both Divergent? My train of thought was destroyed when Liam's hand touches my shoulder, "hey babe-what's wrong?" he can see the worry in my eyes and on my face. "We're fighting each other today, Taylor just told me." I tell him.

"You know she's going to make us fight until one of us is down right." Liam tells me. "Yes of course I know that. Liam, I think she knows, and is trying to get rid of us." I tell him. "CJ she doe not know, and she will never find out." He assures me. "Initiates, today is your last day before you face your biggest fears. Fight hard." Taylor says. Her hair swoops over her shoulders, her eyes could pierce a man's soul, Her small nose ring makes her look like her perfect self. "Lovers! CJ and Liam, in the ring now." We look at each other, I fear about getting hurt by Liam, Liam fears to hurt me, but we are not allowed to have these fears. "We don't have all day lover boys." Becca says. I look at her with angry eyes, she laughs and says "Pay attention." I turn. Liam and I both put our fists up. I aim and jab at his throat, which is gone before I could get to it. Next thing I know I'm lying on the ground with blood running from my ear. I stand up and sweep Liam's legs out from under him, which sends him flying to the ground. "Parthenon's getting stronger." I hear someone say. Liam comes after me, I push him off the ring and flying into Becca. She falls and hits her head on a wooden beam. I smirk at it. "What are you laughing at Initiate?" She asks. "Nothing, you expected me to be weak right?" I say. "Yes, yes I did." She replies. "Well, we're all wrong sometimes right?" I say sarcastically.

"Get yourself back up there Payne." Becca says. Liam kicks me right in the chest, that, which sends me to the ground. I get back up almost instantaneously. I punch Liam in his cheek and collide my elbow with his temple. Liam groans in pain, then sends a fist into my stomach, as I double over Liam's knee collides with my face. I fall to the ground, then everything turns black.

*The Next Day*

I jerk awake, I see Liam in front of me with Harry behind him. "Hey guys." I say. "Morning sunshine, thought Liam killed you over here." Harry said. "Thank goodness I didn't I don't think I'd be able to live with myself." Liam says. I see that they're both dressed up in full gear, black vests. "where are you headed?" I ask them. Liam replies "War Games." I start to get up and Liam stops me. "no, you need to rest." he tells me, I take his hand off my shoulder and get up, "Becca wants to see me weak? I'll show her weak." I say to them. "CJ, don't do this, Becca has it in for you, you know how strong she is." Liam tells me. "Liam, I'm am going and that is that." I tell him. He smiles and tells me "okay, just be careful, please."

We see the train of everyone rolling away from us, I start running towards it, it's almost like the first day of initiation, running and jumping on the train. Once we get on, Taylor, Becca, Zayn, Louis and Niall all look at us like we have four heads. "lover boy is back." Becca says. "Damn right I am, is there a problem?" I ask sarcastically. "Not at all. Capture the flag, me and Taylor are captains, Taylor choose first." She says. "CJ and Liam" Taylor says. "Picking two I see? Fine, Joey and Nick." By the time we finish picking our teams, we are at the pier where the game will be occurring. "Weapons of choice, a dart gun, a stimulated dart will shoot out and inject the same amount of pain as a real gunshot wound, only lasts a couple seconds." Taylor informs us. "Remember when we played this Taylor?" Becca said this angrily. "Yeah, and who gave you three dart wounds? Oh yeah, me. Also, who won? Oh right, me again!" She said. "Go to your damn stations." Becca said.
