Isaac and Kate woke up before their Dad so they could check out the attic with no interuptions.

They where standing in the door way to the stairs leading up to the attic. Isaac with his bat at hand and Kate with a flashlight.

"You sure we should be doing this?" Kate asked.

Isaac looked up the stairs. "Yeah." He stepped onto the first step. "Come on." He said and Kate followed him up the stairs and they stood at the closed door that lead to the attic. Isaac slowly opened the door. Kate's flashlight turned on and Isaac's bat at the ready.

They walked further into the attic. Kate moving her flashlight everywhere.

"There's nothing here." Kate said.

"There is. I know it." Isaac kept walking further.

From the corner of Kate's eye, she saw movement beside her. "Isaac, there's something in here."

Isaac turned to Kate with an I-Told-You-So expression on his face. "Didn't I just say that?"

"I saw something." Kate said, the flashlight shaking in her hand.

Isaac grabbed Kate's flashlight out of her hand, his bat in one hand ready to strike. He turned the flashlight around and through the corner of his eye he saw something move. He shined the flashlight in the direction of the movement. Nothing.

"There's something over there." He whispered to Kate.

"Told you!" She said, loudly.

Isaac shushed her and walk in the direction of the movement. Kate following close behind him.

"Hey, is someone back here? We won't hurt you." Isaac said, shining the flashlight behind some boxes.

The flashlight landed on a scared little boy who was hiding behind the boxes. He sat on the floor with his legs up to his chest. Fear in his eyes.

"Who are you?" The boy said nervously.

"I'm Isaac." Isaac said, pointing at himself and then at Kate. "And this is my sister, Kate."

"What are you doing up here?" The boy asked, moving uncomfortably.

"We heard something." Isaac said. "What are you doing up here?"

The boy looked down then up at the siblings. "This is my house. I live here."

Isaac and Kate looked at eachother. Not knowing what to do.

"Have you seen my Mom?" The boy asked.

"Uh," Kate started, leaning down towards the boy. "What's your name?"

The boy shivered. "Ben."

"Ben Mathers?" Isaac asked.

The boy looked up in surprise. "Yeah. How'd you know?"

"We go to school with your brother." Kate said, trying not to give hints yet about what happened to him.

"But, you're teenagers?" Asked Ben. "Eric's only seven years old."

"What year is it?" Kate asked, sitting closer to the boy.

"2004... or 2005. I can't remember." Ben held his head in frustration. He started to sob. "I can't remember anything."

"Ben, do you know were you are at this moment?" Isaac asked, getting closer to Ben, kneeling beside him.

"My attic."

"Why can't you leave the attic?" Kate asked, soothingly.

"I'm stuck. I can't get out." He started to shake a bit.
