Isaac came running into Kate's room the morning of Halloween. He was about to speak when he saw Kate sleeping on her bed and Eric sleeping on the recliner in the corner of her room. He didn't really care.

"Guys!"

The both of them snapping awake.

"I didn't do it." Eric said when he was in the middle of waking up, still stuck in a dream.

"Guys, it's Halloween." Isaac said. Kate and Eric just sat in their spots. Kate, being confused pointed a finger at Eric and looked at Isaac. Isaac shook his head. "Yeah. Cool. He's here. I don't care." Isaac began talking fast. "The others called. While we were doing the stuff in the attic they found something."

"What'd they find?" Kate asked.

"They found this part of the forest with dead grass and chopped down trees. It was in the shape of a circle." Isaac explained.

"Wait." Eric said. "So in the forest there's a circle of dead grass?"

Isaac shook his head. "No. It was a giant circle. I don't know the exact length of it or whatever. But they said that a storm came above them. A violent storm. They said all of a sudden things were falling out of the sky. Jackson said it kind of looked like falling angels."

"So we're dealing with angels now?" Eric said, leaning into the chair and crossed him arms.

"No." Isaac said. "It reminded him of falling angels. He thinks it's something more."

"Do you think the war is starting?" Kate asked.

Isaac nodded. "And only the chosen ones can stop it."

Kate nodded back. "We have to be there. We need to see who these chosen ones are."

Eric just looked at them and shook his head. "No. Do I have to go?"

"Yes." Isaac said.

Kate got up and sat on the armrest of Eric's chair. "We could really use you."

Eric shook his head. "I'm not one of them."

"We know." Isaac said. "But we could really use you and your light of protection."

Eric shrugged. "I'm on crutches. I can't go out there. I'll kill myself."

"Look, you're coming and that's final." Isaac said.

Eric clenched his jaw. "You sound like my Dad."

Isaac smirked. Kate got up and walked over to Isaac and slapped him across the head.

"Ouch!" He yelled and rubbed the back of his head.

"Look," Kate started. "I need you two to get along just for one day. You can go back to hating eachother tomorrow."

"If we're alive tomorrow." Eric said.

Isaac crossed his arms. "Why you gotta be such a downer?"

"Why you gotta be such an asswipe?" Eric threw it back at him.

Kate sighed. "Guys, it's one day." She walked up to Eric and kneeled in front of him. "No one's going to die. I promise."

Eric gave a shy smile as Kate stood back up.

"Well, I got that sorted." Kate said.

"How do you manage to shut him up?" Isaac asked.

"Oh, it's just a gift." She said proudly.

"Hey, kids!" Devin called while he headed to Kate's room. "I have to-" He stopped when he saw Eric. "Why is there a boy in your room?"

"Which one?" Kate said, pointing two fingers at Isaac and Eric.
