"I'll go!" Sarah jumped up and grabbed an empty beer bottle. Placing it on the ground she quickly spun it. We all watched with anticipation as the bottle slowed, before stopping on Tyler. Sarah's eyes lit up with excitement, or was it nerves I was seeing. Either way, they both leaned towards the circle and began to kiss. At first it was a peck which was quickly turning into something more until Adam pulled Tyler back by the back pocket of his jeans.
"Dude!" Tyler glared at Adam. We just laughed as he told him to save some for later. Maybe there was another budding relationship there too.
"Okay Tyler, your turn!", said Nick. Again, we watched with anticipation. Only this time, it landed on Nick.
"Oh HELL No!" Nick began to back away. Quickly, Sarah grabbed one arm as I grabbed the other. "And just where do you think your going?" I asked.
"I ain't kissin' no dude Hailee"
"The bottle landed on you, you have to!"
I looked towards where Tyler was sitting and sure enough, he was also being held down, prevented from running away.
"Just make it quick! Nothing says you have to sit there and make out!" We laughed, Chloe had a point.
Nick grimaced as he and Tyler both leaned forward. As if they were both thinking the same thing, as soon as they were about to touch lips, they both turned and caught each others cheek.
"Okay done! Give me the bottle" Nick sat back with relief while vigorously scrubbing at where Tyler had kissed him on the cheek, Tyler was doing the same thing.
"What was that!" looking at Nick, I playfully slapped his chest.
"It was a kiss.", he said nodding his head as if we need reassurance. Nick leaned in closer to my ear and whispered, "No one said we had to kiss on the lips." His breath tickled my ear and sent chills down my spine. I smiled and leaned into his side. I brushed my lips across his ear before whispering, " I'll be sure to remember that."
When I pulled away, the look on Nicks face was hilarious. He eyes filled with regret as he realized what he just said. I sat back and laughed while handing him the bottle. "Your turn". Taking the bottle from my hand he made sure to keep eye contact with me. We stared at each other until we heard the bottle stop. I looked down and saw that it had stopped on me. I put a smirk on my lips as I tossed my hair over my shoulder and looked at Nick. He was watchful, he remembered what I had just said. Wondering what I was going to do. I leaned in and felt his hand cradle my cheek. It was rough against my smooth skin. I could feel is breath fanning my face as we got closer. It was as if time slowed. I felt his lips on mine, they were soft, yet firm. Demanding, yet patient. Nick let me control the kiss, but only briefly.
His hand moved to the back of my neck, pressing his lips to mine. I felt his teeth graze my lip, asking for entrance. The wolf whistles in the back ground giving me encouragement. Just as I was about to let him in, a voice I couldn't forget called out from the edge of the clearing.
"Y'all starting the fun without me?"
My stomach dropped. Of all the places he could be, of all the people he could be friends with, it had to be here and with them. Nick released me from the kiss but placed an arm around my waist.
"Ryan! What's up my man?" Nick called out. I mentally groaned. I knew I shouldn't have come out.
As Ryan came closer, I could see that he was carrying another case of beer under his arm. Once he got close enough I could see the recognition flash through his bright green eyes. It looked as though his eyes flashed gold, but only for a brief second as he eyed Nick's arm around my waist.
