Hello, potatoes! I know this chapter took ages, but I am so very busy lately. Anyways, I was thinking about finishing this fic soon, and maybe I'll start a new one if I feel up to it. :3
The sun was barely shining from behind the naked branches. According to their shadows, it must have been around lunchtime. There were almost no animals, if one didn't count the creepy crows stalking the nothing. Everything was grey. And it should be, actually. This was Purgatory, after all. Happiness and joy were forbidden here.

One wouldn't be surprised if there was a sign saying "Welcome to hell.". But it was even worse. Dean knew.

And Cas knew as well.

The angel was kneeling in the mud, sniffing the air. His beard was more than usual because of the time he spent there. It was now two minutes since Dean vanished in thin air, something that has never happened before.

It was strange, tho. Cas was just willing to ask the hunter a question, the question, but he was gone as soon as the angel opened his mouth.

Then came the noise in the distance and Castiel clutched the angel blade he was about to give Dean.

In about 1 kilometer, a big blue box appeared out of nowhere and the door flew opened, revealing two people inside. One with a coat, longer than his, and the other was wearing an old leather jacket.

But Cas couldn't see them, not yet. If the Doctor let down the guards that made him and the hunter unnoticeable, he would change the story. So they still had a couple of minutes.

"So, um, I guess that's it.", Dean tucked his hands into his pockets and looked at the ground. "I just wanted to say... Thank you. You didn't really have to do it."

"It's okay, I've always wanted to see this place anyways."

"What are you going to do now? Do you have a companion?"

"I... Almost. Jack told me he found a way to get Rose back without causing much trouble. I think I'll give it a try."

Rose Tyler. All the time Dean spent with the Timelord, and he wouldn't shut up about her.

"Well, good luck. I really hope you'll be happy.", the hunter was honest.

"Thank you. I'll see you two in theTiime Vortex when you escape. I tried to, but I can't see anything. Now I have to go. You've got a few minutes until it happens. Remember, control the Faith. Leave in peace, Dean Winchester!", tears were starting to form in the Doctor's eyes.

"It's was a pleasure. Goodbye."

The Doctor got inside the TARDIS and the spaceship began fading away with a sad sound. The Winchester was all alone, seconds until he magically 'appears' and prevent Castiel's death. But he had to do something first.

"D-dean? Dean! DEAN!", the angel could clearly see him now.

"Cas!", the hunter gasped and happily yelled 'Son of a bitch!' afterwards.

He opened his arms and both men started running towards each other, hugging in the middle. Dean didn't think much and warmly kissed the angel on the lips, laughing at his weirdly cute not understanding expression.

"I've been wanting to do this for ages, ever since I first saw you, but I was afraid and unsure. But I've changed now, Cas. You changed me for the better.", a what seemed like fast black shadow flew with inhuman speed between the old dark trees. "You are the one who's always helped me, who's always answered my prayers. You have always been here for me when I needed someone to keep me strong and to tell me that it's going to be okay. You don't know what I've been through, and I can't tell you. But I realized... I realized I am nothing without you. A damn nothing. But also your nothing. I love you, Cas. I love you so much. So...", the angel let go of Castiel's shoulders and fell on one knee, gently taking the angel's hand back in his own, looking him straight in the eye.

"Castiel, Angel of the Lord. Will you make me the honor and become my husband?"

Castiel's blue eyes became wider than ever, the black iris drowning the bluest blue that has ever blued.

The following things happened in a heartbeat.

A black blade flew out of the trees' shadows, right into Castiel's back. The shadows flickered a bit and the forest became lighter. The couple were still staring into each other's eyes, too afraid to look away. Cas' irises were big, the beautiful TARDIS blue almost not to be seen. They collapsed in the same time, still not breaking their eye contact.

Dean took his fiancée in his arms and stared shushing him and stroking his short black messy hair. The angel's eyes, which were burning bright with excitement moments ago, we're now starting to close, fear and surprise. Maybe forever.

"It's okay, Cas. You're gonna be okay, you hear me? Look at me. Cas, look at me. We're gonna be fine. We'll buy a house next to the beach. You've always loved the beach. We can have a dog. Or a cat. I don't care. Even though I'm allergic, we'll get ourselves a cat. You can breed bees in the garden. We will have petunias, and every freaking flower you want. Cas, can you hear me?", Dean was crying, clutching Castiel as if the angel will disappear if he let go of his trenchcoat.

"Dean...", his eyes were barely opened. Even speaking was hard for him. That blade must have been very powerful; taking an angel as mighty as Cas was a tough thing.

"Yes, baby? I'm here."

"You know I won't make it to tomorrow, don't you?", his voice was very weak.

"No, you will. I'll fix everything and, and we'll wake up in the bunker. It'll all be just a fudging dream. Cas?"

Castiel was coughing blood, his whole body shivering. No signs of magical fixing from his father or anything.

"Cas. Stay with me. I love you. Stay with me.", the hunter finally lost it and was now crying unceasingly.

"... Always..."
