Chapter 12

Thor and Trixie looked at one another to see who would be the one to tell the young alicorn of where Pinkie and Loki were; Thor took Trixie's silence as a fact that he should be the one to tell her, "They are at that strangely candy decorated shop."

"You mean Sugarcube Corner?" Rarity asked, and Thor nodded in return; Kalina, the mane 6, Trixie and Thor all march over to Sugarcube Corner, where Loki and Pinkie were just starting to emerge from.

"Loki, maybe you can elaborate for me: Trixie says you and Pinkie were flirting, while Thor says you were simply asking for advice. Now, I know you are not one to admit you are asking for help, but I would like to know the truth, whether it hurts or not." Kalina asked with a slight bit of pained skepticism on her face.

Loki sighed and took a deep breath before he went on to answering Kalina's question; the fact he took so long to answer made Kalina worry a slight bit, "Kalina, I thought if you knew of your actual birthright, that you would leave. That you would no longer want to be with me. But, why would I travel this far with you, just to leave you? To answer your question, my brother is the one telling the truth; I was merely talking to Pinkie, I was asking her for...advice on how I could apologise to you for being such a jerk to you. You deserve to be treated better, Kali."

Loki look defeated when he announced that he had asked for advice from someone; he held out the tesseract necklace and Kalina's charm bracelet, to which she gasped and her eyes gleam with joy; the mane 6 'aw' at his sweet gesture. She cocked her head, "Wait, what do you mean my actual birthright?"

"I think he means that you're the lost princess that we have been searching for, Kalina!" Twilight stated, "I figured this out before, but now that you are in company of the charm bracelet, and looking at the charms attached, I would say it is guaranteed that you are her."

"What? How?" Kalina looked between Loki and Twilight in disbelief.

"Well, maybe I should let Loki finish what he has to say, since it does look like he has a lot more on his chest." Twilight smiled as she too looked toward Loki.

"Thank you, Miss Sparkle. You see, Kali, I was only doing all of those things because...I love you." Loki whispered the 'I love you' part of his speech, so that only Kalina could hear, but he had forgotten the girls and his brother were ponies and had excellent hearing, ending up with them all going, 'awe', making him blush much more through his tan coloured fur.

"I love you too, Loki. I forgive you, and I understand why you did those things as well." Kalina's kind spirit smiled as she snuggled into his chest.

"ENOUGH!" Trixie yelled, causing everyone/ everypony to look toward her in shock, "I have had just about enough of her. How is it she can be so forgiving? I mean, Loki, how do you put up with her? Don't you find her perkiness and kindness to be annoying at times."

Kalina frowned, slowly pulling away from Loki's chest, "What do you mean, Trixie? What is wrong with my attitude? So am I not allowed to be happy?"

"You may say you love him, but would you be willing to die for him?" Trixie quickly gets the Alicorn amulet, which she had picked up when Loki had tossed it, from her saddlebag; she cast random spells that attacked Kalina, who was barely prepared,and only managing to counter the attacks.

"Trixie, there is no need for this; please calm yourself!" Twilight shouted as Kalina and Trixie battled it out.

"Yes, it is most unbecoming." Rarity gave a quick disgusted look.

"No, I have had enough of her! Everyone thinks she is so perfect; well watch me defeat her in the blink of an eye." Trixie's began to glow red as the amulet corrupted her; the mane 6 gasped, while Kalina just looked confused, unsure of what the amulet was - though she had previously worn it only a few hours ago -.

"Trixie, don't do this; you know that the amulet corrupts whoever wears it!" Twilight shouted

"Yeah, just take it off and everything can be cool again," Rainbow Dash hovered only a few hoof steps away from Trixie.

"No, no it won't. " Trixie cast the most powerful spell she could think of to finish of a wounded Kalina; Kalina was unprepared and lost her footing, causing her magic to falter and Trixie's to attack her. This killed her, in an instant.

Loki, Thor and the mane 6 looked on at Kalina to see if she would get up, but after a few seconds, Loki rushed to her side realising that her chest wasn't moving to indicate her breathing. He collapsed to his knees beside her lifeless body, tears began to form at the corners of his ice-blue eyes. The others waited for his confirmation.
