[Lost!]
There was nothing calm about Tyler's plane ride back home.
First off, he left his boyfriend without as much as a text saying why, second, his best friend might've been dead already, and lastly, he didn't eat at all that morning, so he was very hungry.
Anxious didn't make the cut for what Tyler was even remotely feeling.
He was tapping his fingers rapidly on his armrest, his eyes going back and forth between passengers around him. When the plane took off and he was allowed to turn his phone on again, he immediately sifted through his recent calls and messages to see if he missed anything in the brief fifteen minutes he was gone.
Yet, there was nothing, only a single call from Kyle and a voicemail that played faintly through his earbuds.
"Hey, Tyler. I decided to skip my afternoon class so we could go to Barnes and Noble, so I'll be home in a little bit. I love you. Bye."
Tyler bit his lip, the voicemail was sent ten minutes ago, so Kyle was probably nearly there by now. His heart sunk to his stomach and he pinched the bridge of his nose. It's for the best, he told himself. Kyle will understand, he knows what happened a few weeks back, he'll forgive me. Right? Oh god, please let him forgive me.
About an hour or so later, his phone started to buzz. Another ten minutes passed by, and it buzzed again. And again.
kayle: im here!!
kayle: lmao are you hiding
kayle: tyler??
kayle: ok seriously where are you
Tyler hesitated before responding.
tylerbrotato: I had to go, I'm sorry. Mitch called. It's 911.
kayle: 911?
tylerbrotato: yeah, he was having a breakdown
kayle: oh
kayle: is he okay now?
tylerbrotato: I wouldn't know. I'm on a plane right now to see him.
kayle: you LITERALLY left????
tylerbrotato: I'm so sorry, but it was an emergency
kayle: maybe it wasn't. he was fine the last time something like this happened.
