Pulling into the empty drive of my house, I analysed at my surroundings. There's the big, green trees - bursting with life, waiting for the delayed, British summer, hoping to prove that they're not all twigs and branches.

There's the raindrops trickling against all windows in sight, resting against the coolness.

There's the bright, blossomed flowers, all waiting in a row; shielding themselves underneath bushes and hedges against the harsh winds; waiting for the long-awaited sun to appear.

And then there's me. The confused and annoyed teenager who doesn't know how to handle her feelings...

As Scott parked the car, I looked at him - silently hoping he'd put the car into reverse and make our time together longer than initially desired.

I looked at his eyes; secretly envying his long eyelashes and soul-capturing eyes.

I was suddenly flashed out of my admiring trance by the sound of his voice.

"So, uh, I guess this is it..." He said, sounding pretty neutral.

"Ah, yeah. Thanks for the ride. And giving me a place to sleep. And buying me breakfast!" I said, trying to hurry things along.

"So, what do you think about doing a, I dunno, number exchange?" He asked, looking towards me with the most innocent smile that lit up my insides.

"I guess we can make it work..." I smiled, as I handed him my phone.

A few minutes later, I was walking towards my front-door - hoping his car would stop.

To all my joy; the window rolled down and all I heard was,

"Cut down on the fags, fag"

Looking up, I saw a smirking Scott wink at me and suddenly drive away.

I'm unsure why; but I was feeling very strong feelings - ones that were unfamiliar to my mental state and seemed to be giving me a migraine.

A few hours later, I was showered, fed and very tired, yet I took all of my strength to text Nate.

Me: Hey babe, I am so sorry I've been ignoring you and scaring you like that but what you did just didn't do it for me! Welcome home xxx

A few minutes later I heard my phone buzz.

Nate: You shouldn't be the one apologising, it should be Kai! And you should have seen the look on his face when he saw you driving away with his brother, hahaha class! Meet up tomorrow?? Xx

I was suddenly VERY confused! Why, just why, did I not realise this. Kai always told me he had an older brother called Scott - but said he was a nerd in college.

Well, this Scott certainly wasn't a nerd. Tattoos, leather jackets and doc martens do not seem to meet the nerd stereotype.

OK, I think that makes me a fool for making generalisations.

I've even seen pictures of him before - guarded with braces, glasses and acne (God bless dentists, laser eye surgery and dermatologists, I guess)

But wow. I am so silly! How could I not realise this. Maybe it explains the money behind Scott's lifestyle, but it sure as hell doesn't explain why he didn't think to inform me or he had absolutely no images of his family around the flat.

I was way too confused to think. I pulled my bed covers around me and sunk into my pillow - hoping tomorrow would make a lot more sense.
