Part 6
Michael
I was washing my car. I finally got a day off. Jayden hasn't called or said one word to me. I'm giving her space because I know she was freaked out.
Jayden: Michael
I turned around and saw Jayden standing there. She looked gorgeous. Her heels clicked as she walked towards me.
Michael: Hey
Jayden: How have you been?
Michael: Good. How about you? I know you were freaked out by that night.
Jayden: Slowly accepting it... I guess.
She walked to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She rested her head on the chest. I wrapped my arms around her hugging back.
Jayden: I'm sorry I ignored you.
Michael: It's okay. You were going through a lot.
Jayden: What did they do to August?
Michael: What?
I loosened my grip looking at her. Jayden leaned up looking back at me.
Jayden: I dropped August off and he hasn't came back. I won't have a job if he doesn't come back.
Michael: He just got a check up Jayden. That's all.
Jayden: His check ups take 24 hours?!
Michael: I can't tell you anything. I've never taken a patient to a check up.
Jayden walked around me and headed towards my house. I followed her. We made it in the livingroom and she grabbed my phone.
Jayden: Call him.
Michael: Who
Jayden: Dr.Harris.
Michael: Jayden it's our day off. He's probably busy.
Jayden: Michael, I need this job. I can't go unemployed again.
I sighed taking the phone. I dialed his number and waited. It rang for 5 minutes then went to voicemail. I hung up and looked at her. She sighed sitting on my couch.
Jayden: I guess I'm out of a job now.
Michael: Baby girl. I wouldn't let that happen.
I sat next to her and rubbed her back. She rested her head on my shoulder.
Jayden: Have you heard about something called Twice the Problem?
Michael: Actually yeah. A man and his wife was a target of something.
Jayden: That man and his wife... was me and August. I looked it up. He wasn't lying.
Michael: So you want August for?
Jayden: Answers. I want to know why I was a target. As far as I know, I have no enemies.
Michael: Relax. I'm sure he's fine.
Jayden: I'll talk to you later. Okay?
Michael: Alright. Be careful on the way home.
She nodded then walked out.

I walked into the hotel room. August was spread out all over the bed. I chuckled taking off my heels. I slowly climbed onto the bed. August moved pulling me towards him.
