Adelaide's POV

A quarter 'til four Red and I walked into the BPRD beaten and bleeding. John immediately ran up to us to see if we were okay. I nodded and gave a small forced smile as my phone rang. I answered it, "Dean?". I caught myself smiling, and walked away to take the call.

Hellboy's POV

Meyers turned to me after Adelaide strutted away, talking to her pretty little boytoy. "Come on, let's go tape you up." I looked back over to Adelaide who seemed to be laughing at something 'Dean' said. "What are you a boy scout?" I said to Meyers. "Nope, I never was." He said smiling. "Well you could have fooled me." Just as the words left my mouth I felt a slicing pain cut through my body. I winced and fell to my knees. "Hey Red!" Meyers said, trying to hold me up by my arm.

Adelaide's head whipped around at the sound of my name, fear in her piercing eyes. I could see Clay and some other agents start to walk towards us. "Uh, you've lost a lot of blood." Meyers said. "This is nothing. You know what will kill me don't cha?" I said looking back to Adelaide as Meyers followed my gaze. She hung up the phone and walked back towards Meyers as Clay and Moss helped me back to my feet and away to the lab.

They sat me down in the chair as Abe started digging into the wound on my arm. "You were burned by some organic acid." Abe said. "Hm, I'm lucky that way. Ow!" I heard the door open as father sighed. "I worry about you." "Me?" I asked, confused. "Well, I won't be around forever you know." "Damn!" I yelled as Abe dug deeper into my arm. "Could you please be a little careful."

"Is he giving you trouble Abe?" Adelaide asked smiling, placing her hand on my shoulder, I was in so much pain that I hadn't noticed her walk through the door.. "Mmhm, big baby." Abe said, as I layed back down. "How long was it latched onto you?" Abe asked.

"What did Dean want?" I asked harshly, ignoring Abe's question.. She furrowed her eyebrows at me. "Oh,that wasn't Dean. I thought it was, but it was just Cas using his phone." She answered. "Cas?" I asked as Abe dug deeper into my arm. "Castiel. The angel." She reminded me. "Oh, right, yeah. What'd he want?" I asked again. "Not sure. He said he had something important to tell me that he couldn't say over the phone. Who knows, it could be anything. Cas is kinda weird like that sometimes." She smiled.

"What happened out there, you seem different." Father asked her. "I get it now. Why you chose me. My past." She signed. "How long have you known?" She asked. "For a while. You and the Winchesters got on our radar a while back. We were hunting the same monster. We thought you might be useful in the future, the three of you worked well together and got the job done well for humans. When we lost you for a few years I thought you were dead, naturally you're previous line of work wasn't the safest. You came back on our radar a few weeks ago, I assume that's when the nightmares began."

Adelaide's eyes shot open wide in disbelief. "How could you possibly know about that." She whispered, feeling betrayed. "We've been watching you for a while, we also have access to your hospital records. Everything. The pregnancy. You were clinically dead for a 2 hours." Father said. His words triggered something in her mind. She was speechless, scared, and tears threatened to spill. I was surprised by the news too, I had no idea about any of this. She strutted out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Meyers yelled after her, but she didn't turn around. He began to run after her, but I shouted, "Meyers!" He ignored me and left the room, about to play the knight in shining armor that should have been me. "Damn!" I yelled, slamming my fist down onto the arm of my chair. If Abe wasn't currently digging in my arm I would have run after her.
