Adelaide's pov
I tried calling Dean and Sam a few times, but neither answered. I didn't know if Crowley was telling the truth or not, but I wasn't about to risk Dean's life. I called all of Dean's cell phones, but no answer. Red was looking at me like I was crazy. "It's gonna be ok." He said reassuringly. I shook my head. "We have no idea what we're in for."
I replied. I knew I had one more option, and I wasn't about to go in there with no idea what to expect. "Hold on, ok here goes nothing. Uh, dear Castiel, Deans in trouble and I need your help. So if u could get your feathery ass down here that would be great. Uh, Amen." "What the hell are you doing?" Red asked. "Um, praying?"
I heard a flapping sound in the back seat. I looked in the rear view mirror to see Cas sitting in the back. "I heard your prayer, Dean is in trouble." "Ya, Crowley called me, he said he had Dean. Where's Sam? What's going on in there? Angels or demons?" "How the hell did you get here?" Red screamed. "Oh, sorry, Red this is Castiel." "So you're a ghost or something?" "I'm an angel you ass." "Cas calm down, tell me what's going on in there."
"Sam and Dean are in there, so is Crowley and half a dozen demons. Dean is knocked out and Sam is semi conscious." Cas explained. "Ok so what's the plan?" Red asked. "Cas are you in for this one?" "Yes, I will help." "Good, ok then plan is, I've got an exorcism recorded on my phone, we bust in, I'll play that, maybe we can find some holy water, and we kill some sons of bitches." I said.
We got to the motel as fast as we could. I saw the Impala outside, insuring their location. I parked and ran up to that. I tried to get into the trunk, witch was surprisingly unlocked. I opened the arsonal. I got some holy water and I found an angel blade in there.
"Cas you got yours?" I asked. He nodded. "Ok, you keep them off me while I try to find Crowely. They're strong, but there vessels probably aren't. You've got the muscle, so use it. Don't touch the ones in plaid and leather, the rest are fair game." He nodded.
We opened the door to the hotel room. I started to play the exorcism on my phone and tossed it onto the bed. One demon came at me and I forced the angel blade into his abdomen. He fell to the floor.
Dean's pov
I began to open my eyes as the door burst open. Sam looked up next to me, we were both bleeding and tied up. Through the door marched my hot little guardian angel in leather and heels. I don't know how the hell she got here, but I'm glad she is.
Cas came in behind her, along with a huge red dude. She played an exorcism on her phone. A demon ran at her but she ganked it with an angel blade. They worked together to gank all the demons, until only Crowley was left.
Crowley grabbed her phone and destroyed it, before the exorcism was completed. "Now that's better." He said. "Now, why don't we make this a bit more personal." Crowley said snapping his fingers, throwing the red dude and Cas out the open door. The door slammed shut and locked. They tried to get back in the room but couldn't.
️️️ Adelaide whipped blood off her lip before charging at Crowley. "Not so fast darling." He said snapping his fingers again, throwing her into the wall, knocking the angel blade out of her hand. She stumbled to her feet.
He slowly began clapping. She looked down at me confused. "She's back." He smiled. "God squad said you'd lost your touch, but I knew differently. You always were my favorite. But you passed the test, so I hope to be seeing you soon." He snapped his fingers again and vanished.
"You've got to be freaking kidding me. It was a test. He just wanted me back."
She helped untie Sammy and I. "But why, why sacrifice six of his strongest demons just to see if you could?" Sam asked. "Because he knew it would work." I said looking at her as the door opened again. Cas came back in. "What would work?" I asked. "That you would want to be a hunter again."
Cas healed our injuries and disposed of the dead demons. "Where'd u get the angel blade anyway?" Sam asked her. "Oh, you left baby unlocked." She said. "What!?! No I didn't! I never leave her unlocked!" I screamed and ran out to my car.
Upon inspection, baby was locked. And without a key Adelaide couldn't have locked it back. I walked back into the motel room. "She's locked." I announced. "Maybe it was Crowley, maybe it was part of the test?" Sam added. "Who the hell is this?" I said referring to Clifford the Big Red Dog in the corner. He gave me a death glare. "Oh, this is Hellboy. Uh, this is Sam, and this is Dean." She said pointing to me.
"Like the comic books?" Sam asked. Adelaide nodded. "So, how did you two, uh, meet." Sam asked. "I sort of work at the BPRD now." "The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense?" Sam asked, she nodded. "What the hell is that?" "Well, it's kinda like The Men of Letters." "I should be leaving." Cas announced. "Thanks Cas, stay safe." Adelaide said, and with that he vanished.
"We should be leaving too." She said. "Right, right." I said. She hugged both of us. "I'll call you later, then you can tell me about your case in town." "Perfect." I said stealing a kiss before she left. God, I missed the taste of her. Things were finally right with the world.
Adelaide's pov
Red and I got back out to the car. "They're not too bad right?" I asked him. "The taller one doesn't seem too bad, but I don't like the shorter one." I smiled. "They've been through a lot, we all have." "So that little dude, Crowley, he's got a lot of mojo." I laughed. "Well they don't call him the king of hell for nothing."
"So, why isn't lucifer the king of hell?" Red asked. "Well, uh, lucifer is trapped in a cage in hell. There he's powerless, so Crowley took over after that." "Ah." He replied, seeing I wasn't really in the mood to talk.
"You know when I first saw you I never imagined that you'd be involved with these kinds of people. This kind of danger." He said. I squinted, thinking. "Maybe I just have a type." I laughed. "When I first met Sam we were just college freshman trying to pass AB Calculus. I never could have imagined all of this..."
"You two dated?" Red asked. "No, he was more like a brother to me. I was also best friends with his girlfriend Jess. After she died thats kind of how Sam and I got mixed up with Dean." I explained. "And then I met you, then the leeve broke." "You're not happy living like this?" He asked. "Who would be? Everytime I think I'm out, they pull me right back in." I said giving my best Godfather impression, Red laughed. "Why do you do it if you don't like it?" He asked again.
"I think the problem is that I like it too much. Saving people, hunting things. Crappy motel rooms, hours upon hours in the car. You make a lot of memories. I used to love dressing up in a pant suit and pulling out my fake FBI badge." I smiled, mentally reliving the memories.
I looked at the time, 3:30. "Great, Clay is going to kick my ass for bringing you back this late." "Don't worry babe, I'll cover for you." He said. "No you won't, Tom is already pissed at you. If you take the rap for this, it will just make him more angry." He knew I was right, so he gave up.
We pulled into the BPRD a quarter til 4. We walked in, and waited for the yelling to begin.
