Chapter 14- Alex

Keaton's POV

I watched her as she got lost in the beauty of the shore. She was something different. I couldn't figure out what about her made me like her more than any girl I've ever known.
I kept thinking back to the conversation that Wes and I had yesterday night. He kept telling me to ask her out. I would but I don't know enough about her. I can talk to her now when we are just "friends" but I don't know if I could ask her to be more than friends.
I was thinking about all of this when I heard Alex call my name, "Keaton, Keatonnnn!" I snapped myself out of my thoughts and turned to her. "Ya?" I asked. "Do you guys want to go down to the skate park?" She asked us all. I didn't even have to say anything before Wes and Drew got on their boards and began skating down to the skate park. Sammy, Wes, and Drew took off and Alex and I skated there together. We weren't far behind them but we also weren't racing like they were. The skate park was only a couple minutes away but I still got a chance to talk to Alex and I made her laugh too. She had cute dimples that showed every time I did something silly. We arrived at the skate park and I heard Drew yell "SKATE CONTEST!" with a huge grin on his face! Wes chanted and cheered "Yes! Yes! You're going downnnnn!" I looked at Alex and whispered into her ear, "They get really competitive with these skate contests." She smiled and winked at me and whispered "Good." She turned away from me and walked towards everyone else.
"You're on! Just don't be upset when Sammy and I beat you!" She said to Drew.
I laughed and shook my head "IM JUDGE! I am not getting into this!" Drew, Wes, Alex, and Sammy all skated.
I called it a tie even though Sammy and Alex clearly won. We hung around and talked for a bit. I loved being around everyone but I really just want to be alone with Alex so I can talk to her.

Drew's POV:

We all skated down to the skate park. Wes, Sammy, and I were ahead of Keaton and Alex. I looked at Sammy and started a conversation. "So you're a fan huh?"
She looked at me and said. "Maybe."
That was a for sure yes! "Alright I see what you're doing! What's with Alex and Keaton? They still aren't here?"
She laughed "Hopefully they are taking their time and talking."
I gave her a confused look. "Why?" I asked before taking a drink of water.
"She likes him...a lot...and I think he might like her." She explained to me. I almost spit out my water "Might? I heard him and Wes talking about it last night! He for sure does. " Her face lit up with happiness and she started clapping really fast which made me laugh. "I will talk to him about it." I said
"What? Wait. No! No!" She responded.
"Why not?" I asked.
"We just have to let them handle it. Let's hang out here for a little while and then we can leave and those two can spend the rest of the day together." Sammy said. I agreed.
